I don't think you can be a serious team and play Sexton and Lavine in the same backcourt, and I would MUCH rather have Sexton and his contract than Lavine and his contract.

I just hate the way we seem willing to build this team.

I actually agree with this. He's just not the type of player I want to build around.

I do think Lavine is underrated as a player, people especially rag on his defense....but I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. He as always seen as an "empty calories" kind of players, but some of the metrics don't hate his defense too much. IIRC, his adjusted +/- stuff is fairly decent.
