Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

It's still wild to me people think Paschall was good when he was one of our dumbest team defenders and worst rebounders.
Nobody said Paschall was good. I said we looked good when he played that one time. That one stretch that was the best we looked all postseason.

Everybody on here knows what I'm talking about.

OK, here is a fun exercise. Say the Jazz tank hard enough to get Scoot Henderson. Who would pair better with him, Donovan Mitchell or Tyler Herro?

Probably gonna be Don because the fit isn't perfect but he's a better player. Long term though Tyler could be under team control longer and is a younger player. You'd also have 3 additional picks and likely Jovic with Herro.

The same.

Both are going to be ball dominant 2-guards who dont defend and arent natural playmakers for others.

We need to stay away from those players.

Herro because Donovan would take the ball out of Scoot’s hands where it needs to be for him to be successful.

Herro does the same thing. He had a 29% usage rate and it's only going to increase when he gets a starter role and a max contract.

Donovan’s was 33% this year and Herro played off the bench so he naturally is going to have a higher usage rate doing that.

Scoot. And I think Herro is overrated as sh*t. The playoffs should show you this. But Mitchell is an obvious 2 that needs a taller/defensive one to complement him. For example, the Warriors have had Klay Thompson do this for years. Curry is the 1 on offense. and if the opposing team has a dominant PG Klay guards him. (Paul, Westbrook, Smart, Doncic.....)

You need guys like that. Dude is 22 and just put up great offensive numbers on a great team. He's the third best player on a title contender right now.

I'd want to negotiate an extension prior to doing the deal but if you can lock him in to an acceptable deal I think he'd be a great asset to help start the rebuild. He's a step away from being an all-star caliber player and is at an age where guys take steps.
