Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

I'm sure PK (and Andy Larsen to an extent) feel punked by the Jazz FO right now, but let's just talk about the GM masterclass Ainge put on.

1. Leak that the deal is almost done.
2. Get Knicks fans and media hyped up and discussing it for 24-36 hours.
3. Come out after the weekend with a list of teams interested in Donovan, making the Knicks front office look unserious and increasing pressure on Rose to come out of this with something.

Ainge is ruthless and I'm glad he's ours.
Somebody gets it!!!

Danny Angel, Danny Angel……

It's borderline insane how poorly Sacramento has drafted year after year. Haliburton showed promise, but was jettisoned. Murray hasn't had a chance to dispel the stigma. Outside of Cousins, they've failed miserably.

Along with Atlanta, Toronto etc., etc.! Yeah right! More like Danny Angel out there driving the narrative (payola) for Knicks fans to get better unprotected picks from the Knicks!

And just to be perfectly clear I have no problem with any of it. I mean if governments can do it and get away with it….. never mind that’s a little or a lot worse for sure!!!

Don’t hate the player beat the game is what I always say:p

16 straight lottery picks and they can't even get into the playoffs? Wow. What a horrible franchise.

100%. Ainge goes psychological terror on these other GMs. Meet his price or he'll do whatever it takes to make sure your job is in jeopardy. If Rose doesn't pull the trigger on this deal and the Knicks start the year as the middling team they'll be, Rose doesn't stay in his job.

The thing is Dolan is, in the end, a greedy bastard. Mitchell jersey sales would be be through the roof simply because of narration alone. Folks get Rose wants to make the best deal possible, but if he loses out on Mitchell over a pick, Dolan will throw him off the roof the MSG.

Beer you’re right on the money I guess though in moderation it does have some other redeeming qualities. Well I’m sure there’s certainly an element of that involved with coffee, for me it’s like the fine wine experience (and no I’m not a corksniffer), and finding those chocolates, caramels and other colors of the palette. I mean I could never drink it black but with the right concoction of coffee and creamer and sugar it’s pretty freaking amazing!!!
I had a friend who was this way about Kentucky bourbon. He was THE connoisseur, according to him. He had I don't know a dozen different brands, small batch stuff, big name, expensive, aged, all of it. We did a party one night at his house and he opened several bottles for a tasting. Had the right glasses, let it breathe, all that ****. So I tried it, looking for the smokey notes, the notes of vanilla, or oak, or turpentine, or whatever. The turpentine, I got...lol. I asked him and a few of his buddies who were the same way, once they were getting a little snockered, I asked them if they would drink it if it tasted exactly the same, absolutely no difference, but had zero alcohol. The answer from all of them was a resounding "**** NO!! No way I would drink this ****!" LOL

You Sir have a truly jaded mind….and I say that with nothing but the utmost respect!!!

I hear you.

My neighbor is like that. Great dude. Every weekend offers shots of Pappy, Blantons, special reserve this and that, etc. Always end up having a good ole time, but I just don't have the heart to tell him I'd have just a good a time shooting plain ole Jack. I mean, I love fresh McDonald's fries and all, but piss poor BK fries dipped in ketchup still get the job done at the end of the day

Funny story for sure! That’s corksniffer territory and not me at all! I’ve enjoyed coffee since I was in High School and hanging with friends late night at JB’s where I was first introduced to it’s wonderful appeal. My mom actually loved anything mocha and the very occasional Iced Tea surreptitiously ( W of W). Then I discovered that research confirmed that coffee has tons of healthful beneficial qualities and lots more antioxidants than green tea. And I am the kind of guy that wouldn’t touch monster or rockstar with a 10 foot pole!

Those energy drinks seem like poison to me. Coffee is so ****ing cheap and easy.

I wake up, drink two cups of coffee and don't touch caffeine for the rest of the day.

I couldn’t agree more GF! I swear it helps my early morning tennis performance as well. Plus the taste is so much better than that phony energy junk!

Coffee is good for the liver. Those energy drinks should come with a warning or banned. 57 grams of sugar. Geez wonder why there is an obesity problem in the US.
More than that! I worked with a nice lady in the casino industry years back whose kids lost their mom thanks to the energy drink industry!

Got some news on the Donovan-NYK front I'd like to share:

If you use the Subway app, you can Buy 1, Get 1 free footlong sub with coupon code FREEFOOTLONG. Offer valid until August 22.
I always hated when they did the $5 footlong promotion and had that dumbass song that had lyrics that even said “AAANNNYYY footlong” and it’s asterisked to only be certain footlongs. If it’s not really any footlong, why put it in the jingle lyrics, man?
