Jazz at the Pesky Wolves - Tonight - Oct. 20th 6 PM

The challenge will be defending the individual match-ups. Minnesota isn't a great passing team or particularly great shooting team. They still rely on some of their individual match-ups, so it's going to be a test to see if we can guard Towns, Butler and Wiggins well enough to pull out a win.

I think between Favor's and Udoh we can slow down Kat just fine. Plus Kat can't guard Gobert or block him out. We even have Jerebko to throw at him and be physical/rough him up. I think we match up great with this team. I think Wiggins will be a handful tonight for is though. I think he is going to be more solid this year.

In other great news... my wife is going to some HS homecoming football game tonight... this means no dirty looks as we are wrapping up our dinner date and I am trying to get back to the DVR to watch the game. Friday night games I usually don't get to watch until after 10... will be live tonight with guilt free watching.

Things are looking good guys!
You better be posting more in the gamethread while the game is being played then.

Super curious how Mitchell responds to his first roadie (their home opener?) with a hyped crowd. Rookie's seem to be less-effective on the road early in the career but this guy's got no fear.

The really nice thing about playing good defense is that it makes the road less intimidating. I think last years team was the best Road Jazz team that we have seen in 20 years. Honestly our problems came from the constant spinning wheel of injuries. Hayward was a rock, but if we aren't interchanging our starting lineup from game to game, that home court will start to shine like it used to. We add home dominance on to our new-found road prowess, we will be in a good place.

We need to step up and punch the Peskies in the mouth though, just for Rubio's sake.

Hopefully Rubio gets some claps. I'm curious to see what the t-wolves fans do

He is loved there... it will be loud cheers and deservedly so... he's a class act.
