I'd be soured on the Jazz too if I were in your shoes. Greg revealed himself as such a fraud when he did the Undercover Boss show. Hopefully your family finds some solace after grief before figuring out what the next step to take is in terms of Jazz tickets. Again, my thoughts are with you guys.

Although without LHM, you might be cheering for the Las Vegas Gamblers. I'd worry about my own actions and leave the "burning in hell" judgment to a higher authority...if you believe in one.

I find the story sad, but certainly an attorney should be used to arguing over "fine print" and "technicalities." As others have noted, the policy is known and they took steps to ensure their seats would not be lost in case of death by the contracted person. Condolences for the loss of your grandfather.

AS someone who has been fairly high up on a corporate ladder, let me just say it is HIGHLY unlikely Greg knows anything about this policy. He cares about the big picture. He'd be informed on the number of season ticket holders and the variance vs. prior year or against budget. His major focus be on revenue, the product on the floor, approving the larger items (e.g. marketing slogans) and building relationships with major sponsors, etc.
Have no way of knowing whether the response is real, but it could be legit. When my boss (a VP) would become aware of a problem, she would respond to the client and kick it back down to one of us to investigate and resolve. And then ask that subordinate in a week or so if the matter had been handled.

If the Jazz move to LV their name will be The Fixx. Either officially or after the first game fixing scandal hits. I truly believe you can't have a professional sports team in Vegas due to all the sports book action that takes place their.
I always hear that reason, but it makes little sense to me. Why does just the proximity of the team to the sportsbook matter? If someone can make a ton of money fixing a game, why would the travel to the players they are paying off make any difference to them?

In fact sport betting scams never happen in Las Vegas, well except for boxing but who watches that anymore? Sport betting happens illegally in every other state. In nevada at least it is tightly regulated.
The only issue I can see potentially happening is that the home games would have a % of people attending who are just there to watch their bet, and not the game. Maybe you would get loud cheers/boos not for the win/loss, but for the spread.

Vegas is big enough to support a team but not so big that it demands one. There are many other similarly sized cities with much less entertainment to compete with a pro team. Las Vegas has a major water problem that could seriously retard its future growth. Throw on top of that sports betting and the image problems that could create and it's pretty clear why there isn't a pro team in Vegas.
Most major cities have huge water problems.
