Gives Miles another 2 years. He will be better than Rip Hamilton ever was. Unfortunately the Jazz were'nt patient enough with Ronnie brewer. Otherwise he would have been our Tayshawn Prince. Look at how he has turned out with the Bulls

Don't mind Utah picking up CJ's option as long as:

-He is used as a role player BEHIND the likes of Burks and Hayward.

-Now that he's an expiring deal, Utah shops him in packages that hopefully rid us of Bell.

On the AK front:

-I'd also like to know where Kicky "heard" that AK is asking for 4 years @ $4.5 mil/per.

-While I don't like the idea of re-signing AK for any price, I have to admit I would be intrigued if AK knew his role going forward was that of a bench player who gives the team 15 minutes per night. With how fragile he is, slashing his minutes may actually help him stay healthy for a full season.

To be honest, I hate that CJ thinks he's a player and hasn't bought into the promise of the youth of our team like the rest of us fans have. Number one sign that he needs to be traded, in my opinion.

AK.
He plays the Wing Forward position, the Making Guard position, the Post Forward position, and the Flailing Layup Point Forward Center Cryer During Postseason Postgame Interviews position.

AK for 4y/4.5M per year isn't horrible. I'd rather see a 3y/4.5M per deal or even 3y/15M

Why aren't we treating CJ like we treat AK?

Sure, there's been a huge salary difference in the past, but the kid's been on our team forever and still hasn't found his niche.

The list of players that get immensely worse in their prime and suddenly get immensely better after 30 is long. AK will just be another one of those guys.

Where from? That would seriously shock me, and you're right--they would be dumb not to bring him back at that price (even though I would greatly prefer a shorter contract).

All I'm going to say is that's what I've heard. The contract length is more important than the total dollar value.
