What's new

Jazz trade up from 30 to 28 and select Tony Bradley

Didn't realize he was less than 19.5 years old. That makes me feel a little better.

Good pick. Wasn't San Antonio interested, or rumors to be their guy, if so the jazz had good reason to move up and get him.

Man i would have loved the jazz make a trade to pick 22 to grab Jarrett Allen. Both are raw and have similar measurables(both are huge) but Allen is a much much better athlete.

Somehow I doubt the Nets would do that. Getting a guy who dropped like that is a big win for them. Great fit with Russell.

If you're still unsure watch this video, it'll make you feel better.

The most exciting thing is he actually boxes out - something so simple yet Jazz players fail to do it much of the time.

I like the pick, but it's a pick that is nearly impossible to get excited about.

I think he will be a really solid backup for years. The unknown x-factor is if the shot he showed at the workout is legit and if it can ever get to the 3pt line.
Not sure I care if a C can shoot the 3 ball. I'd rather him use the strength and size to get offensive boards. He's not gonna get much if any time in his whole career as a PF.

I think with a guy like Bradley you really want it. He isn't going to be a big lob threat so you want him spacing the floor on the high post if you arent posting him up. Adding a 3 would make him great in trail situations.

Just speculating because the Jazz were impressed with his shot.

Kenny the Jet Smith said on NBA TV "Tony would have been a top 10 pick next year had he stayed another year".

So we essentially traded #30 and #42 for next year's #10.

I mean that's pretty exciting.

I really like it.

He's got a 7'5 wingspan, great standing reach, he was an excellent rebounder as a 19 year old, moves well laterally for his size, and has some nice potential. At minimum, he's a good rebounder and rim protector. That will play. It's not set, but it's good.

That's a common sentiment among people on Bradley. Basically he would have been in line for a ton of minutes on UNC and could have had breakout year. He is kind of this year's Zizic.

Only if Kenny Smith is correct. Which is doubtful.
