So funny.
Good work HH
So funny.
We are going to continue to trade them back until we fulfill my dream of owning ALL of the second round picks in a draft. We are a third of the way there. It will be cool when the second round hits and Nate Silver will have to give the mike over to DL who will take over the next round of the draft. Run it like an auction. It will be EPIC!
No way the Cavs were giving up more than a 2nd for $816K in cap relief. There have been times I thought the Jazz should have gotten more for taking on salary dumps. This isn't one of them.
I actually think we are a better team after this trade.
Better even if in small increments, is still better.
I have no idea who this guy is, but getting anything for JL3 and Murphy is an absolute steal and a half.
Though I kink of liked Thomas' game. Still, I'd like the Modum kid to grab that final bench spot.
No. Felix was only on the Cavs' payroll for $816K guaranteed. They traded him for all guys they could waive or trade, so $0 guaranteed. End result is Cleveland dumped $816K in payroll.Uhhh wasn't it like 3.3 million?
Wasn't there an article written about how much harder it is nowadays to find those diamonds in the rough, because of the internet, more and better scouting as well as increased in investment?
I'm not sure I've seen the article you're thinking of, but I do agree with that sentiment. Harder, but not impossible.
The cap isn't harder for most teams, and with veteran contracts shorter and potentially cheaper (smaller max raises), the savings on rookie deals are not as great as they once were. I'd guess rookie scale contracts lost trade value in the new CBA.Also with the harder cap being implemented, cheaper talents (i.e., draft picks) are becoming more valuable, putting more emphasis on 'leaving no stone unturned' thereby making it harder again to find obscure talent.
