Pretty good. Not Chuck Thompson level travel stories good, but entertaining nonetheless.

8/10. I was reading up on it after I read it because I wasn't sure it was even real, and apparently her accounts are pretty disputed, but it's still good even if it's more fictional than not.

Blood and Thunder

Just finished Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides. Read Ghost Soldier before this and really liked the way he tells a story. Anyone else a fan of his?? Any suggestions on what to read next of his?

I've been raping the Borders closing down in and around Chicago with 60 to 70% sales and have a bunch of classics and new stuff that I've never read. Purhased a few of Upton Sinclair's books that I hadn't read yet.

Finally read "The Gathering Storm" by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson. Awesome. 1100 pages in less than a week. That is a lot of reading for me. Can't wait for the next to come out on paperback so I can read it.

On a side note. Is anybody going to watch "Game of Thrones" on HBO? Love the books, figure I'll check out the 1st episode.

I have Game of Throne, but I haven't started reading it yet. Is it really that good?

Girlfriend would not stop talking about it, so I pretty much had to read it so I could get a word in edgewise.

I think It's really good. It's frustrating that the next book has not released for years though. It is very graphic in a lot of ways. If you can't deal with the sex and violence though you may not like it.

Kind of like an adult version of the wheel of time. I read them on recommendation from a lot of people on the old board. Mostly AthiestPreacher, who also convinced me to read Robin Hobb.
