Jimmy Butler's Day off - Jazz @ Timberbulls 10/31/2018 6 pm MST

We didn’t get great performances from some of our key guys. Joe has seemed extra slow lately.

I’m going to wait until the 15 game mark to make definitive judgements but I’m definitely leaning in the direction of Ricky is too limited to be our starting point guard.

Niang needs to play more... stupid in bounds pass last night but continued his hot streak.

Wiggins and Rose turning into Klay and Steph last night is a one night fluke... sucks to be on the other end of it but on to the next one.

Joe is not himself. Seems like he's battling a cold or something. Did you see him during the timeout at crunch time? He looked dazed.

Cy - I think the reactions are valid. We have had 4 games where we have given up 111 or more points. We don't have any important injuries so there is no blame there. Quin doesn't have a grasp on rotations because our PF and PG situation is a mess.

There is no reason to panic, but there is definitely room to criticize or question what we have going on. We look unorganized when our biggest strength from last year was continuity.

They arent valid at all.

The Jazz lost a game at the end of a 9 day road trip that they went 3-1 on. Nothing is a mess.

The entier league is giving up a **** ton of points because everyone in the league is playing faster and because of the freedom of movement changes. Even after that bad game, the Jazz are still 8th overall in defensive rating despite playing the Rockets, Wolves, and Warriors who were all in the top 5 in offensive rating last year. The Warriors are #1 in rating this year by a large margin.

The PF rotation is easily one of the strengths of the team right now, so you are clearly just talking out your ***.

I have faith in the team to sort it out, but without the Memphis game where they destroyed our offense and controlled the game, our defense has been an issue.

It's basically impossible to play Niang more if Crowder is playing well unless Quin decides to play them togther. Crowder also offers a hustle/rebounding/toughness presence that is really important. Niang isnt a guy who comes up with 50/50 balls and Crowder is.

The entire team looked like they had been on the road for 9 days, cuz that's what had happened.

I thought we did some pretty good things last night just missed some shots and they made some. I think we have the answers at PF but Favs was needed last night. Taj is an mfer to box out and needs a big... towns too.

I think Ricky got benched last night... then DM got hurt. PG is our biggest position holding us back imo... it’s still early but I don’t love the Rubio roller coaster... if he doesn’t improve his minutes shrink... Exum would have played more than him had Ricky not come back in for DM.
The problem is that Exum isnt good enough in half-court situations and the high outcome possibility of Rubio is better than that of Exum. Exum getting his game tying shot blocked from a mile away when I think any other perimeter player on our team could have gotten the shot off was a bit of an example.
