Joel Embiid will be #1 & He is my choice

Parker is and has been my choice. Fills an actual need on the team too. embid is just an upgrade, but w/ Kanter, Favors, and Gobert: we aren't hurting at the center position, and Parker is still BPA IMHO.

For me it is:
1. Parker
2A. Wiggins
2B. Embiid

I would also be happy with Exum or Randle. The more players that challenge for the top three when you have Parker and Wiggins in the draft is that much better for Utah. Increases their chances of landing that franchise player.

Edit: When and why did Randle start falling out of favor on here?

Parker and Wiggins fits the need. Embiid and Randle makes Kanter expendable. If we pick lower than anybody but Exum please. That dude has bust written all over him for me.

That all depends on how they develop. If one is clearly a starter and one is liek Millsap (right there for several years) it could really solidify our big man rotation.

Embiid/Gobert
Favors/Kanter

Hopefully he does go #1. That means that Wiggins and Parker have fallen to (hopefully) us.

If we miss out on the next Dream then shucks. At least we have favors. If we miss out on the next Durant or Paul Pierce while we have nothing at the 3 (assuming Hayward asks to much and signs elsewhere), it's gonna hurt badly.

I really like Parker but his comparisons are Carmelo and Big Dog from Milwakee. Both of those players are all offense no defense. I worry that Parker won't be able to defend at an average level in the NBA and think he will slide because of that on draft night. If we draft him that is fine but for me only if Embiid, Wiggins and Exum are off the board.

Lets say you are right and Jazz take Embiid. I just can't imagine Jazz having Kanter come of the bench past his rookie season or paying him big money to do that.

Well if he is only a backup then he wouldnt get big money.

Again, I think there is lots of ways we don't pick Parker. I don't think Parker has a position on Defense that he can defend. I look at players like Derek Williams, Anthony Bennett and Carmelo and Big Dog for that matter. Some thrive in the league as tweeners, some don't... but none have thrived at both ends of the floor. If we are drafting 4 or 5 and Parker is still on the board I would take him over some players because we need a scorer but I have issues building a wing rotation that can't defend the perimeter and thats exactly what we would have if Parker/Hayward/Burke were our starting back court and wings defenders.

Who Parker defends at the next level is a very real concern. Don't forget what Zach Lowe of ESPN always says... as if it is a revelation: "Defense is 50% of the game."

On the topic of defense: Who defends Parker? He looks like a tough cover. Defense is 50% of the game so it would be nice to have a player the other team can't defend.
