[Jones]BREAKING: Jazz willing to engage Celtics in S&T talks: But Gordon Hayward must agree

Sounds like this is a done deal. Assuming it's a lottery protected first or less than this is a hell of a deal. Between this and the Rubio trade DL is doing some great work. I think we are a better team next year. I think our roster is pretty much set unless a big trade comes along.

Unless the Love situation happens we will probably hold on to the trade exception until the deadline when a bunch of teams will give up and start tanking and looking for salary relief.

I feel like I will hate this one.... I can just feel it...

Why? We've done good this offseason except Hayward bailing on us. If the western conference was as easy as the eastern conference I think he stays.

Remember, women like to flip situations and play the victim card instead of admitting any wrongdoing or errors in judgement.

Sounds like something a frat boy would say to the police, tbh.

I think everybody could get over the use of the word rape in the context it was used as a poor and classless choice but posts like this are disgusting on another level.

Did anyone hear Geltzeiler this morning on 1280? PK got worked - he was so not the one to be interviewing him. He had no memory (or at least claimed to have no memory) of all the shade thrown Geltzeiler's way last year when he said Hayward wanted to be traded to Boston. Geltzeiler was right a year ago. PK, ugh, is so bad. Checketts sucks. Locke - I like Locke, but he is a schill (I do like his in depth analysis, in spite of his schilliness).

I do feel bad for PK. Man, his circuits were completely blown by Geltzeiler.

I wish PK had asked different questions, but maybe he's overworked. He didn't seem at all prepared to engage this guy on anything. Shoulda had Checketts or Locke on to go toe-to-toe and either defend themselves or admit they were wrong. Having clueless PK do the interview was unfair to PK and unfair to the fans who remember last year's hoopla over Geltzeiler's claims of Hayward wanting to be traded to Boston.

Geltzeiler mentioned how the Celts don't owe the Jazz anything, referring to the talk of a sign and trade, but PK didn't pursue this. UGH. Instead, he was talking about "but Isaiah Thomas is only 5'9" " ...it was embarrassing. Pk needs a week or two off to recover. Man, it was bad.

I'd really like someone with knowledge to talk to Geltzeiler, but after what happened to PK I don't know any of the dorks on 1280 have the balls.

It has been popular for several years to speculate that Gordon and Stevens had a massive bro crush and would get back together. Still not sure anyone knew that was a done deal until this week but maybe someone did. Clearly if the Jazz had known Hayward was going to bolt on those who took a chance on him and developed him, they would have traded him before it came to this. Just like Mr Kanter.

Diaw's contract would cover Crowder. Picks could be exchanged.

****ing hell. There is just no way we get this deal done without letting go of a non-protected pick. Lindsey might be throwing up a prayer right here.

I honestly think Boston media hears a rumor then just run with it. The Hayward call by them seem more like dumb luck than accurate info, but who knows.

Agreed. Who knew Hay wanted to play in the minor league conference or his wife is infatuated with clam chowder. Annoying part is that those who guessed right act like know it alls at this point.
