Kanter tired of losing

"We’ve got to figure something out," Kanter said in the locker room afterward. "It don’t matter real season, preseason. We are just tired of losing. I’m tired of losing."

Well, get used to it Enes. It will be way worse in real season. Just think what would have happened if OKC played their starters regular minutes and if they had Westbrook.

Tank, tank, tank your booty!!!!

I love how players say they are sick of losing.

Ummm. That's your fault, you know that, right player?

Try harder and stop turning the ball over Kanter

His turnovers really haven't been an issue in the preseason, especially when you consider the shared responsibility with the guard in illegal screen turnovers.

Good. Let's see him force the Jazz's hands. Go out, work hard with Burke. Take over this team. Score 20 and grab 12 rebounds. Play outstanding defense.

If Kanter can put up 20 and 12, shooting around 50%, then he is a superstar. IF he is a superstar, come December, we will be in the playoff race. The Jazz won't need a top 5 pick anymore, because we have him already. They can then go out and move expiring contracts for good players to put around Kanter. Bring in a vet PG. Another big man.

We will be a top 6 team this year, and get back to competing again.

Be pissed Kanter. Show us you were worth the #3 pick.

Just re-watched highlights from OK game.. man, Kanter was scored on a lot during that 4 min span. Some of those shots were tough but some where just atrocious defense. His timing is way off in numerous occasions which I think is just rustiness from not playing and coming from the injury. Fix those things Enes and maybe we will start winning more.

Damn right. Enes is so not playing defense, it's frustrating. He has no will to. What kind of a win attitude is that?

By the way, if it was Favors who said those words, I'd be more pumped. But still a good attitude if honest. I hope Enes reflects that energy on the floor especially on defense and rebounds.

I'd rather have Kanter say that. He has the ability to score that this team desperately needs. The only two people that have any shot at taking the Jazz anywhere this year are Burke and Kanter. Kanter has the offense and Burke has the handle.

Whether or not they can grow fast enough is yet to be seen.

I think a danger in the Jazz plans for this season is losing the players while losing games. For example, Hayward and Kanter both expressed frustration with losing another preseason game--that is great, especially if it motivates them to put in extra work, pay attention more in practise and start holding others accountable.

But if they do all the extras, and the Jazz still lose....there is a part of human nature that tempts them to stop trying to do the extra because the outcome is the same as minimal effort. If Hayward or Kanter or Favors decides to do the minimum then the Jazz have lost more than what will show on their season record.

The coaching staff will have to be clever to manage young men into continued efforts without the reinforcement of instant rewards.

I have no fear on Kanter's offense. As I've said before, he is gonna score so much this season (if stays healthy) that some people are gonna be amazed. He has the ability to create space and knock it down from every zone. I would like Favors to state something because I find him more grown up in character than Enes and when Enes says it it sounds like a young man's passion to me but if Favors says it it is more like a statement to me. Just my perception on the two. Enes is a real fighter and he is a winner, he always says he hates to lose. But showing that is something else to me. I hope he takes big steps this season.

Interesting but valid point.

I don't worry about losing players. Good players work hard. Tough, good players win a lot. If they are good, one season of losing will make them work harder.

Kanter shows some character by mentioning it to the media. Of course, showing on the court is more valuable than telling it with words Yet, we gotta remember Big Al's comments about playoffs game of Spurs. So it's good indication of not accepting defeats and battling against it.

Personally I am glad that this burns within Kanter. Use that fire Kanter. Use it to get better and start dominating like I think you are capable of.
