Kirelenko in Trade talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diaw to Utah makes about as much sense as AK's contract. In other words, this deal makes about as much sense as beanclown watching Dances with Wolves on his wedding anniversary.

The Jazz FO would be all over this. If it was $9M Diaw signed up with the Jazz, they wouldn't dream of trading for a $17M Kirilenko even if they could. It's at least $8M savings for somebody who won't be such a big downgrade working in the Jazz system.

And the Jazz could also push this further and use Diaw in a 5-teamer to get a defensive center like say $12M Dalembert. The Kings save $3M and instead of getting another 4, the Jazz get a defensive center while paying $5M less than for AK.

Archie is totally the kid where you have to give the embarrassing fake laughs non-stop. Archie tries so hard but its so painful.

It's not so much the talent I have issue with as it is it would be better to keep him and just let his contract expire. Talent wise this is about as good as ones going to get but I'd rather keep AK then pay 9mil for 2yrs

I can see that point of view. But if I was the Miller family I would do this to save the money but I would not do this for Diaw alone. I would make sure we get a draft pick from the Bobcats. They seem to be getting the most in the trade while only giving up a little. If we get Bobcats first round draft pick than I would say yes for sure.

I don't see any young players that we could get. I love Arron Afflalo and if we could get him added in this deal than I would say yes for sure too.

Everyone needs to realize the Jazz think very highly of CJ Miles and Gordon Hayward. And with AK on the team he is taking valuable playing time away from them and this trade frees up playing time for them to develop.
It also gives us money to offer Fesenko a long term deal and sign Jason Thompson if he is that good. And we would still be under the luxury tax.

Even if this trade falls through, the fact that the Jazz are considering it tells us how desperately they are looking for immediate salary relief. This is all about salary cap concerns and has nothing to do with basketball. With two years left on Diaw's deal the Jazz need to pass on this. This trade doesn't make the team better, just relieves "some" salary concerns.

So, one team gets Carmello Anthony, while another team (Jazz) ends up with Diaw? This would not be a basketball move at all. This would strictly be a money saver. I guess with all the new faces on this roster, what's one more?

He's French, ya know?
