Koufos > Kanter

In your mind? Stats says Koufos>Kanter.

no they do not, if you factor in age.
for example at age 20, 2nd yr in the nba, koufos was putting up a PER of 7.7.
kanter, at age 20, 2nd yr in the nba, is putting up a PER of 10.4.

also anyone who watches the jazz can see that kanter's development is being held back due to the jazz deep front court and also that kanter's improvement curve is much sharper than kouf.

.

We not comparing their second years, lol. Koufos spend second year in Sloan's doghouse if you remember. We talking about NOW, as of today. If you look at EFF as per NBA.com Koufos is 12.17, Kanter is 6.33.

you are comparing a young sophomore to a seasoned veteran? LOL.
ok you got me pal, koufos is better right now at this very moment in time. but who cares?
kk is what he is, he's playing at his max potential right now. kanter is young and has a ton of room to grow.
at their current production, neither are very good. but kanter at least has potential to vastly improve.
youth and potential are at a premium in the NBA, dont ever forget that friend. good luck to you and your frivolous argument. g'day.

The reason you won't compare second years is because Koufos played horrible in the minutes that Sloan gave him. Kanter has forced his way onto the court, as Corbin has been "Doghousing" him the last two seasons.

Didn't take the time to read this to see if anyone else brought this up. But Kanter didn't get to play against Al Jefferson, so its not a fair comparison.

kanter s gonna be a 5 year player with pretty good midrange and maybe even 3 pt shooting as garniture, obvious strength, good running jumping ability and little standing jumping ability and ability to run the floor faster than most bigs. that's what it looks like right now. so having kanter is still a better situation compared to having koufos.

So what is more likely at this point.

Dennis Lindsey calling up Denver and saying "Hey Masai, I'll give you Big Al if you'll send us Kosta and two mid-teen draft picks."

Or

Masai Ujiri calling up the Jazz and saying, " Dennis, I'll send you Kosta and two mid-teen draft picks for Big Al."

Jefferson would probably help them in halfcourt sets, but he's expensive, expiring and likely hurts them everywhere else (seriously, Kosta is serviceable). Kosta's being paid $3mm per season for the next 3 seasons. I'm not sure they'd trade Koufos for Jefferson straight up.
