Las Vegas: Worst Mass Shooting in US History

Also Ron, can you prove that Australia has reduced murder rates directly correlating to gun laws? Now the psychos burn people, and gasoline is readily available. They have a lot of stabbings too.

I feel like I have a better chance against a dude coming at me with a lighter and some gasoline or a knife (or both at the same time) than shooting me from a distance with a gun.

Do you have statistics to show that they have more people being burned or stabbed? What is your basis for that assertion?

Here are their crime statistics. They show that homicide rates continue to decline in Australia since the law change. They have been on a pretty steady decline every year since 1997. They also showed a huge drop in Suicides. Additionally they have had 0 mass shootings since the law change and way less mass killings since then.

Here are a couple charts about Australia and their homicide rates.

Here are some statistics about the problems with guns in the US.

wtf, how are there that many mass shootings? I get that it's broadly defined as any shooting where 4 people were shot, but still... I mean, there are maybe 4 or 5 a year that make a big news story, so what do the other 360 odd look like?

It was something I read on twitter and thought I'd share for the sake of discussion.

Don't shoot the messenger.

You're so edgy, bro. Refusing to read, selectively quoting someone to fit your own narrative - Fake News 101, getting upset about things people read on twitter and facebook and sending mom neg rep insults.
Voice of reason, folks.

Brief, in a hurry, but let me see if I can get more to the point. Can you show me causation and correlation within a cultural context? Crime has been declining generally across the board in the Western world.

I've also agreed with much of what you have said whether you care to recognize that or not.

I want to see causation before calling this over.

Why isn't correlation good enough to move the needle?
