Lineups w/ Kanter or Booker

All dis Kanter hate must be hard on ya, braugh.

From most, I dn't view it as hate.

I love the kid, but it's obvious he hasn't found his place on the new team yet. He is only getting 19 mpg though. I've always been one who believed that Kanter responds negatively to a short leash. Hopefully his respect for Quin is strong enough to keep him in good spirits as he struggles through this learning curve.

What?

His minutes were doubled and he doubled his production. Shocking.

I thought for sure we'd resign him. He signed in Atl for cheap too. No idea why we let him get away... He always brought it.

I had always heard that when you get an increased role and more minutes that it should be harder to produce because you are playing against starters more and teams game plan for you more too

He went from being a high-energy role player (17 mins/per) to a starter (32 mins/per). He also became a legitimate 3-PT threat. Sure his minutes doubled, but he shot almost 4x as many 3's and increased his accuracy from 29% to 36%. I'd call that a break out season.

I know we all wanted him back, but I think very few believed he could be that kind of a starter. And I don't think he would have without the tutelage of Quin Snyder.

Good info as well.

We all loved jyd. He should have been kept

Kanter can't be resigned to a reasonable contract. He is already making $6M this year, wants much more than that for the next. He's the only client of a shady agent who makes decisions for Kanter since a long time. But let's face it. Long, strong big with soft touch and tons of upside. Someone will pay him double figures. What to do now? Well, it's tough for both the FO and the CS. To me he cannot be a part of the Jazz going forward unless he breaks out and proves he's able to produce on a consistent basis. Which is like 10% probability at this point.

I also want to clarify that;

this is the best you can get out of Booker,

&

this is the worst you can get out of Kanter.

Facts are facts.

What happened to those stats? Hint, they turned upside down...

w/ Kanter: ORtg: 114.9, DRtg: 109.7, NetRtg: +5.2 in 119 minutes.

w/ Booker: ORtg: 113.0, DRtg: 118.5, NetRtg: -5.5 in 37 minutes.

Funny thing is our D with Trevor is worse.

One other funny thing is(although is just 21 min) when you change Dante and Trey in our starting lineup our DefRtg is 82.9, to be fair our offense get's worse(94.8) but our NetRtg is 11.9
