What's new

Looking for name ideas - exhausted

I understood you'd acquired it. I was inquiring about the amount. Because what you described sounds like a **** ton of land, and I thought a good portion of it was BLM land.

Ohhh... Yeah, what has been acquired for the "resort" is 150 acres. It is surrounded by BLM, Tortoise Preserve, etc.

Outstanding views of;
Snow Canyon
Pine Valley Mountain
Zion
Red Mountain
Etc

What about playing off the views

You could go with the word view directly or by using something that conjured up the image of a landscape painting or photography.

How about the "Listen to gunfire and ATVs all day and night turdtacular Resort"

I find the proposed development out there near Green Valley deplorable, myself. Privatized commercialism of wilderness area, regardless of who owns the lot, sickens me and no churched up name is going to change my mind. Here are some of my observations:

-That area has already been torn a new ***hole but the genuine fakeness of the proposed development is absolutely hilarious.

-The SGPD already can't handle the amount of break-ins up there anyway, constant problems with helicopter property management teams/schemes leave 'privately' owned condos ridiculously open to risk.

-Yahoos racing up the city streets on OHVs and out of town two night rental morons throwing **** in my pool from terribly constructed condo complexes.

The current 'resorts' out there already suffer, and I will laugh when the people renting their 'resort condo' at the edge of whatever shoddily planned vacation rental daydream they're staying in, deal with a constant barrage of noisy ATVs and gunshots that were pushed off to the west of them.

This is not part of the Green Valley complex and no one that knows us is the least bit concerned about us doing anything remotely shoddy.

Having said that, you make excellent points about the gunfire and the area having been abused. We share the same concerns. We are working daily with the city of Santa Clara, the county, and the BLM to explore ways of creating a better, more respectful, use of the public lands.

We are also working towards a safer amendment of street ATV use.

For our part we will create something very nice, professionally managed, and respectful towards the city and its residents.

If you reply to this post with more accusatory nonsense I will ignore you.
I will, however, take part in any healthy and well-meaning discussion on any topic.

Thanks for your concerns, witty.

I do have a suggestion. Be mindful of light pollution. Tell your electrical engineer that he/she should be mindful of it. Make sure the outdoor lighting is at the least shielded. Also LEDS will emit blue light that is a similar color to the stars you are trying to see.

Absolutely. We are overboard on this issue.

You can get LED in whatever color you want, ranging from the very yellow color (2700k) to a "daylight" (6500k). The color I'm seeing used most often right now is 3000/3500k or 4100k.

SLC has been switching out street lights and what I have seen is very white, brighter, non-shielded. It's been kinda infuriating.
