What's new

Had a fire night to make up for all the bad nights he's had so far this season. Maybe this is turning a corner.
Seems like he had a couple of decent games prior to tonight too. Haven't looked it up but it seems like he has been pretty efficient for a small stretch now. Maybe he is actually turning a corner. That would be huge.

Man no one on this team other than Gobert attempts to play defense consistently. Glad Clarkson erupted. Otherwise, this would’ve been another loss

One minor annoyance… I swear Quin can’t figure small ball out to save his damn life. If there is one player that should be in the court when we go small it should be Rudy Gay. Paschall, Bogey, Royce ain’t gonna work. Flip one of Eric or Bogey for Gay or it really doesn’t have a prayer of having enough rebounders.

Small ball is going to be the death of us in the playoffs once again.

I haven't been to a game since Hayward's last year, but I went with my Mom and sister tonight. Mom loves Clarkson, so it was a great game to take her to (she hasn't been in over 10 years). We had a wonderful time! I was bummed Gobert didn't play, though.

That's awesome! Bet it was a lot of fun.

You need athletic wings to play small. A lineup that is both small and slow at the same time will not survive defensively.

just has to accept Conley for what he is. a decent starter. A good role player

He's barely a top 20 PG in the league at this point of his career.

Luka, Steph, Trae, Morant, CP3, Harden, Jrue, Kyrie, D.Murray, J.Murray, Garland, Dame, Vanvleet, Lowry, Haliburton, Fox, Simmons, SGA.

Lower your expectation so you won't get disappointed
So, those stats are the stats of a top 20 pg, I shouldn’t be dissatisfied with those numbers? WTF are you talking about? I already knew those players were better. I’m supposed to be satisfied with those numbers?

-Any game we win without Gobert or Mike is a good win.
- I thought Butler had some nice moments (and a couple bad ones too), not enough to earn him a spot in the rotation unfortunately.
- In my opinion Gay has gone from looking bad to ok, hopefully he looks good by the end of the season.
- On the negative side our defense was just bad. Our clutch defense was still awful. When we did play good defense, we couldn't get a rebound.
- I remember when Donovan used to be amazing in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure what happened.

For all his goofiness, Whiteside is the absolute best backup center we've ever had.
When he’s engaged*, he gives you at least 90% of what Gobert gives you, while taking up only 1.2% of our cap%**

* he’s not always engaged
** Gobert takes up 24% of our cap%, and will take up far more than that in the coming seasons
