What's new

Max Space this Summer!

Hardly anyone. I'm not sure a good FA will ever sign with the Jazz. There have been a whopping two in history, and Memo was a bit of a project that worked out well.

This team needs to trade their way to good players, but this franchise has a cultural of being pusses when it comes to it. It's disheartening sometimes.
Give it til this summer at least. That is DL's time to prove himself imo.

I'm guessing you guys don't ascribe to the old adage of "living in the moment" eh?

Wouldn’t living in the current moment mean generalizing our current predicament broadly? Sounds like Nate is living in the moment to the fullest.

Regarding signing, we’ve also signed Jason Terry and Corey Maggette.

I’m not as worried about not being able to sign someone as I am about the fact that there’s not anyone to sign.

Thompson resigns with GS. Middleton resigns with Bucks. Harris will probably go big market. Walker will probably go big market. I would be cool with going after Brogdon or Russell this summer and offering a max to get one of them and then cross fingers the KP signs qualifying and maneuver salary to get him next summer.

The power of the team is the team, let's keep this motto true. If we traded for some new guys I feel it would have been out of desperation and would have damaged a major morale with our team. Let's build our team within and only use players outside of our organization who want to become part of our culture and embrace it. I think it's very limited but we will take it ...

Okay so if we do that, let's do the following:

- re-sign Udoh at minimum
- re-sign Thabo at minimum
- re-sign Rubio at $9 or less
- when Favors is done with this deal, re-sign him at $9 or less
- Korver retires or stays close to minimum if he stays 2020 or beyond
- Crowder gets re-signed at less than $10

Do all that, and I can stomach it. This last year, Thabo, Rubio, Favors and Udoh combined to make $40. If those guys combined to make $20, cool. With the cap rising, that's fine. We need quality vets, but they got to help us out with their deals.

This mentality is lame.

It'll be the same routine with "we tried the free agency pool but weren't able to get it done so we resigned our own players again." Are guys already know the drill. :)
