What's new

Mehmet Okur to the Pistons?

I can virtually guarantee the Jazz won't trade for Ben Gordon. I don't see the Jazz trading for a contract that lasts past the 2013 season, and Gordon's goes through '14.

Hamilton has two years left, and it says 2012-2013 isn't guaranteed, but 9 million is guaranteed, so it wouldn't be in the best interest of any team to cut him and give him 9 mil.

did you just read a couple days ago that Pistons were going to give away the No.8 pick in order to get rid of Hamilton's contract? this is a much better deal for them and so it is not going to happen.

Stand corrected on Prince. Even under the old CBA, can't see why he would agree to sign with us unless we were overpaying for him. I'm not sure what Prince makes in the new CBA, but it's going to be well south of 10 million dollars.

You can sign and trade UFA. Boozer was signed and traded to the Bulls....

Yeah, you can do sign and trades when they become free agents on July 1. However, the current CBA ends June 30. There won't be any free agent signings this off season until the new CBA is worked out. That also means this trade can't happen until the new CBA is worked out (which many are estimating could eat half the season).

Which is exactly what billy shelby meant when he said:
Can't do S&T's without a CBA.
AKA-this trade will never happen until the looming lockout is over.

Memo and #12 for Ben Gordon and #8?

Not no, but hell no. Gordon has FOUR years on his deal. Okur only has two left. I would rather eat Okur's two year contract and never have him play another game, than I would have Gordon have 4 sub-par years of 10 million dollar chucking.

He is a decent shooter but extremely explosive. He would be a good addition. As for the Cavs and the Detroit trade. Detroit denied the rumors and say they wont trade for nothing in return.

From Midrange? Because he is a terrible 3pt shooter.

Last year is over Rex, Gordon has 3 years on his deal, Okur has 1
