He has to say that to try to assert Dwight's trade value. If Dwight doesn't commit to re-signing with the Lakers and says he wants LA Clips, Brooklyn or Houston, then the Lakers have to move him or give up the idea of Kobe making the playoffs again.

The Lakers are in a tough spot: massive payroll, lousy team, aging vets, best player ready to leave.

I think the Lakers may be too proud to do this though.
 
To New Orleans: "Hey can we have Eric Gordon for Bledsoe and Butler? Not ready to move him? Okay, sure we understand."


Considering Eric Gordon was the centerpiece of the Chris Paul trade that would be a pretty awful PR move in New Orleans.
 
Honest question for the board: If the Bledsoe deal hinges on us also sending back Alec Burks are you still interested?
 
Yep. I'd prefer to keep him, but bledsoe is the much better prospect long term. Gots to do what you gots to do.

At the very worst they're equivalent prospects. Bledsoe is 2 years older right? I can't believe how sold people are on Bledsoe. Burks is a no go. We have draft picks, draft a pg
