Trying to upgrade our values like personal honesty is on my list. Trying to upgrade my ethical behavior towards things that are actually beneficial in their impacts on others is right there with it. Lying to a spouse, or keeping any significant thing secret is going to result in reasonable distrust. Destructive of the hope for a good positive forward path.
Men are not monogamous, never will be. Religions in general should move back to the bronze age marriage schema. Women should re-direct all their social skills towards making sure none of their own is seriously abused or neglected, for sure. . . . and aim towards attaining general queenship status for all of their own.
I was monogomous and had no probblem staying that way forever. I was content. So I disagree with your theory.
