Mitchell better be hurt

When Mitchell bounced back and has another 20+ point game in OKC tomorrow will

So let me get this straight. The Jazz head coach, a man frequently lauded for his player development methods and skills, decides to only play Mitchell for 20 minutes one time and you are passing judgment like this?

Hahaha, your armchair coaching needs to tone it down a little. Sure you can have an opinion on things, we all do, but lmfao. I think Snyder has earned the benefit of the doubt here.

This is the exact reason I think Donovan actually had something going on and this wasn't a "development tactic". Quin himself has said how much he values game experience and game reps in development. Wouldn't you develop your budding star in a close game with elite teams? This is not even considering how Donovan has scored this year (and especially this month) in the 4th quarter.

Here is something I don't get about last night. The NBA is, first and foremost, entertainment. NBA teams are, whether we like it or not, a business. Well, the Jazz, like many small market teams, need to capitalize on every opportunity to sell their product. Donovan Mitchell has a better chance of selling the Jazz product than any player we've had since the Stockton and Malone days. He oozes charisma. He is extremely exciting and people like him. They gravitate towards him.

I'm all for a coach "playing the hot hand" or "teaching a guy a lesson." But for fack sake, play the entertaining rookie that people want to see. Play the young guy against the hottest team in the league in the 4th quarter. If you want to teach him a lesson, bench him for a few minutes. Hell, bench him the whole 3rd quarter against a scrub team. But don't bench him in the middle of his current streak of dominating 4th quarters.

Quin, in some ways, hurt the Utah Jazz business last night. And the performance probably did Mitchell no favors in terms of Rookie of the Year, All Rookie Team, All Star Team, etc. The hottest hand the Jazz have right now is the Mitchell/Jazz brand. Don't screw that up Quin.

That's not why Dennis Lindsey hired him though. DL just said a couple weeks ago they will continue to rely heavily on drafting and development.

Because Ty has proven to be such a great head coach when given the chance. I'm sure had Ty been head coach last season, the Jazz would have beaten the Warriors and Cavs, winning the championship and Hayward wouldn't have left. Surprised you haven't made this claim.I'd say something crude about your love for Ty, but I get the feeling you two are related. Son?

Pretty certain Quin had a reason for not playing Donovan, whether it was fatigue, illness or performance. And I'll bet he talked to Mitchell about it.

You and infection are pretty slow on the uptake if you didn't realize I was saying it sarcastically.

There we have it... he got that Hill toe.
