Ummmm yeah. Lol
The warriors are merely playing with the rockets much in the same way the rockets played with us. If we played against the warriors I doubt we’d be any more competitive than we were with the rockets. They’re light years ahead of us. At long stretches last night they played IGGY, KD, and Green with their backcourt. How would we have responded? Favors and Gobert couldn’t stay on the court, could they?
If Klay, Steph, or Draymond had shown a heartbeat last night, they would’ve won by 15+ pts and would have a 3-0 advantage. During the 4th qtr they showed Steph on the bench for about 3 seconds. The dude was just looking at his fingernails looking not at all concerned about the game. Once he entered the game he missed a crucial layup and a dunk. During the game he missed at least 2 free throws (what is he 90-93 percent normally).
It looked to me that the warriors were playing at about 70 percent effort and yet they still easily could’ve won last night. They’ve been so damn good for so damn long I wonder if they’re even going to break a sweat this year? They might play with the same intensity level as the regular season and still run away with the ship. I guess that’s what happens when you are rolling with 3 franchise players.
Imagine how interesting things would be right now if they didn’t have KD? A potential Portland DLIL & McCollum v Curry & Thompson matchup would be classic. Unfortunately, even if we get that matchup, it won’t matter because of KD. Him going to GS broke the NBA. Hopefully he leaves after this year. Good riddance.
