OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

Nets still hanging on by a thread in Josh Smith talks, while Bucks look like leaders with less than an hour to go. @daldridgetnt
i presume no one in the west wants him.
Adrian Wojnarowski: Atlanta and Milwaukee still seriously engaged on Josh Smith, league sources tell Y! Sports.
Alex Kennedy: Most league sources I've talked to believe that the Bucks are the favorite to land Josh Smith. The question: What will they have to give up?

My main fear here is that there is no indication the FO is forward thinking.
DWill trade and the acquisition of a lot of solid, young talent, accumulating a bunch of vets set to expire at the same time (Marvin being the exception). This summer will reveal just how forward thinking the Jazz FO has been/is.

The general mood according to Marc Stein is that the Jazz/Clipper deal won't happen. I've always thought they should try to get a third team to take Butler and a pick from the Jazz and give back something to the Clips.

Example: Jazz send Butler and a pick to Minny for Roy's contract and a pick from Minny, which we can give to the Clips.

Good point. My question is who is a FA or even a RFA this summer? Who could we go after?

Good thing we kept our vets values up eh Frank?

Lmao.

Told you guys so.

They have no value.

I guarantee teams want Burks, Hayward or picks with them to make a deal. Point is Al and Paul have neutral value.

That's why no deal is going down.

I'm fine with no deal but stop giving the majority of playing time to the vets and starting five guys that won't be here next year. Lol.

I am with you on that one.

We'll see how it goes this summer, and I think it's likely only one of Al/Paul is brought back but my nightmare is basically that our Offseason looks like this:

Al re-signs, Sap walks (no S&T), Mo re-signs, Foye re-signs, we draft two guys who don't get much if any PT, Burks and Kanter still get too few minutes, and we're about exactly the same next year as we are this year except without any really tradable assets.
