OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

I'd happily go Millsap and both picks. We really don't need 2 more rookies, or even one more. We can hardly develop the young talent we already have.
if this offers on the table, the jazz should do it. i wouldn't bet on it though

@CAGrizBlog

Griz actively working two trade scenarios -- each of which would bring back a big man, per source. Told that player won't be household name

I don't understand the point of gaining flexibility for this summer when there are literally zero appealing free agents. If we have to take on Butler or really whoever in order to get Bledsoe, who cares?

Its so we can be flexible enough to re-sign Al.

I really wish LAC had another **** contract we could take on.

Millsap + Mo + 1st round picks for Bledsoe + LO + phantom **** contract.

I would give both of them as well. More than likely neither will be a lottery anyway.

Maybe a three way trade that sends out both our picks, one to LAC, one to bring back a solid backup PG like Collison or Augustin or something to the clips.

I will be hard pressed to watch this team as long as Al is on the team. I watched some of the GS game and it is sad watching Al be in the post, open, and everyone refusing to pass him the ball. Before halftime, he was pathetic. There were 3-4 times down the court where everyone looked at him, he was open, and the refused to pass him the ball. Player movement was there, passing was there and the offense looked great.

Then they passed him the ball three straight possessions and there was an air ball from 15 ft out, a bad miss from farther out, and a miss down in the post with three defenders hanging off him.

I hate Al Jefferson's game. He is unwatchable and not a good player at all. At least Marbury/McGrady was fun to watch.

@NBAGuru
One thing worth noting: sign-and-trades much easier to complete with new CBA. Teams with cap room have way less urgency to make moves NOW.

@NBAGuru
Under-the-cap teams like MIL, MIN, ATL, UTA, PHX could stand pat tomorrow, and it's partially because they retain flexibility come July.

‏@NBAGuru
So that could mean a quieter trade deadline, but the flipside is it would mean a CRAZY summer with so many FAs and so much $ out there.

i feel this is relevant enough to repeat.
