There was a time, during the first 10 games of our Lord Mitchell's career, where I doubted him. I had high expectations after his summer league performance, and after an abysmal first games in which he shot something like 6/68, I doubted.

I rebelled.

I was overcome with such fear and doubt and was blasphemous. My little faith blinded me and I saw he was slow, unathletic, and overwhelmed by the advisory as a rookie.

For give me, Donovan, for I have sinned.

It's weird how the advisory works. He whispers small truths into your ear based off of what you've seen. Then you doubt. Then you sin.

Haha.

To be completely fair and serious, I challenge anyone who considers themselves knowledgeable about basketball and as objective as they can be to go watch Mitchell's summer league (I watched every game) and first 7 or so games to his NBA career and argue with what I observed in those games. He was amazing in SL and he was pretty bad in his NBA start, to say the least.

I never saw him in college and had only read his prospect reports. Watching him in summer league made me think this kid is a star and at the same time, calm the **** down - he plays for the Jazz. I've been high on Exum and Kanter too at their draft positions, and admittedly, I've been let down. Knowing this, I expected Mitchell to jump out of the gates like a boss and not show any fools gold.

His first 7 to 10 games in the NBA were absolutely atrocious. One, we never get to see rookies play and get the OK like he had on the Jazz. Two, he simply looked overwhelmed, and understandably tried too hard. He played gawd awful offensively. At the time, Mitchell shot the worst fg% in NBA rookie history to start his career. I questioned myself. I thought my expectations were unreasonable and this is Jazz thing. I never saw him fly. (He was probably just a lil overwhelmed.)

Many doubted Jesus too. Once he gained a following and had a good outlook he was killed.

Some doubted.

Then he then rose.

Note: Not trying to be blasphemous and I apologize if what I write offends someone. I'm not a religious dude, but respect those who are.

I had my doubts his first 10 games. I thought it was too good to be true. I kept a lil faith and I have been redeemed.:)

Mitchell is the real deal. I keep pinching myself as a Jazz fan.

Oh ****. When did Churro ever save us from anything?

Oh ye of little faith. Can you not see the churro has been guiding us to our glorious destiny? Did you see what it took to get us in a match-up with Houston? Those without eyes to see and ears to hear have not seen the purposes, have not heard the reasons why the churro has led us down this path to the Rockets.
