Lakers’ stars are top-5 talent, but they get zero rest. Their depth is looking like the Island of Misfit Toys.
When the playoffs start, I think Thompson will be back for GS. The Warriors will still have depth and chemistry on their side. But Curry and Green are going to carry heavy loads this year, so health might still be an issue in April/May/June.
Clippers stars are younger, but health is still a question mark. Especially for KL; win or lose, his leg tendons are a bit injury prone.
The Clippers have wing depth, so they will get the rest they need. But their stars will still be working very hard on both ends of the floor in the playoffs.
Compared to his situation in Toronto, Leonard will miss having big men behind him to bolster/embolden his perimeter D. The Jazz’ D will still be just as good as LA’s, and perhaps better if our shots go down.
It seems like it’s Houston’s turn to make a move, so we’ll see what it is. But for now, I see them as a 4th or 5th seed because Paul’s drop off leaves them with only one legit star.
If healthy, I think the Jazz beat any of these teams in 7 games.
