And even with that, to say he is one of the most passive rookies he has seen is pretty asinine.

Yeah, Quin’s been, you know, on me a lot about being aggressive and getting to the basket. And he actually, during practice, was telling me to just drive it, just keep driving. And that’s what I’m trying to do, but also trying to get my 3-point shot as well, so.

Thanks. I should run through Quin's interviews from the last month. I bet I can get at least 3 in which he talks about wanting Dante to be more aggressive. But I think this is much better and kind of makes quoting Quin himself redundant.

Look at Primetime's quote. I don't know what experts you are talking about, but his own coach doesn't seem happy with his aggressiveness. Of course he won't say "He's the most passive rookie I've seen", but that's completely understandable since he's his coach and it might be counter-productive to call out a rookie like that. On the other hand, I am a fan and this is a fan site where people discuss what they see and I have absolutely no problem saying out loud what I see with my own eyes. Of course that's all subjective and aggressiveness is not even well defined and to different people it might mean different things, or different people might put weight on different things - in my subjective view he is extremely passive. Going to the line is widely considered one of the best indicators for players aggressiveness. I put the stats in the other thread.

Here's a link for you again - out of 1174 rookies in the 3P era who have played 500 minutes or more in their rookie season, Dante is 1134th at FTA/36 at 1.4. I'd say that's "one of the least aggressive" rookies I've seen and I don't see how this is in any way asinine.

He has good size for a 2 guard. He is the same size as burks, same size as kobe, same as Jordan. I don't think the size thing Is too huge of a deal. It would be nice to have a huge point guard, and that is probably what exum will play, but if we draft another big point guard like mudiay, I'm sure they could just be "guards" and play great together.

That's my point. As a SG, Exum doesn't have a significant advantage over most other SG's. And he certainly doesn't have the offensive weaponry of the top SG's. For him to be a "franchise" player, he has to do it as a PG. Not to say he'll never play SG in some 2-PG sets, but his minutes need to come primarily at the 1.

I agree he looks like a point guard and that seems to be his advantage. The coaching staff says his length is his advantage at point guard but his speed would be his advantage as a SG.

The entire premise of that fail thread is flawed. Quin was not the head coach in Atlanta. 2015 Jazz are not 2014 Atlanta in fact they couldn't be more different and you couldn't pick a worse comparison.

Except what Stitches says about Quin wanting Exum to be aggressive is 100% true where you are making up drama to stir the pot.
