This is most disgusting logic I ever hear of liberals.
Wait I say liberals and logic in same sentence. Oxymoron. Save the chickens from laying food eggs in factory farms. Kill the fertilized human eggs in abortion factory.
lib·er·al (lĭb′ər-əl, lĭb′rəl)
adj.
1.
a. Favoring reform, open to new ideas, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; not bound by traditional thinking; broad-minded.
I didnt make a claim in that post about affording a child or not. I asked a question based on stats provided by lil dutchy.
Also not sure I am a liberal, dont vote that way but I guess ill take the compliment.
For me life isn't the sticking point. No one is protesting a bread factory over the sanctity of life violated by the crushing of millions of seeds. Whether human matters.
I think that a very strong case can be made for viability. That would put a complete ban (barring medical exceptions) at ~24 weeks and require viability testing back to 21 weeks.
I think a somewhat weaker case could be made earlier but I don't think we can go all the way back to conception and call that lump of cells human.
Personally I start to recognize a fetus as human sometime within the first trimester. Having seen an ultrasound of my children before 24 weeks I feel that they were human before viability but I try not to wantonly impose my feelings on the world.
OK, but what this idea of "wantonly" imposing anybody else's ideas on the world? Maybe you're beginning to agree with the whole concept of limited government, afterall.
According to my sources, the 20-week viability barrier has to do with lung development threshold. If we could just put a baby in an artificial womb and feed it all the right hormones and nutrients and whatever other growth factors the mother is supplying, the theoretical viability criteria could be met within minutes of ova fertilization. . . .
do these liberalscum know fetus feel pain?
It's legal to harvest the internal organs of human babies for profit. How magical.
The best available evidence is that a fetus feels pain somewhere around 27-28 weeks.
ooh reallly.
there is evidence for 20 weeks.
some even say 8 weeks
but yes. there was evidence earth was flat.
