What's new

Players only meeting.

Obviously they do what they can. It’s not up to them to fix it. It’s up to them to ask for help, it’s up to us to change and fix it. When someone..... let’s say Archie Moses says them asking for help does nothing that’s you being incapable of feeling compassion and refusing to lift a finger and understanding our responsibility for helping to stamp out systemic racism.

to answer your question, you’re right, it does nothing because you aren’t willing to help or feel anything for your brother from another mother other than criticizing them asking you for help.

it seems all we Americans no is how to get ours. Me me me!!! We truely are idiots!!

I'm not saying I'm not willing to do nothing. So...

Very likely no, but that's not on the cops. They were just doing their job. The no knock policy very likely stems from racism. I still haven't heard any reason for the cops on scene to be arrested. Yes the policy is stupid, the warrant was stupid, someone obviously made a bunch of blunders as they were at the wrong house weren't they? But the cops were just doing their jobs.

I agree on that point. The real problem is the legality of those actions and lack of accountability by the police.

You're missing nothing. Her boyfriend opened fire which led to a fire fight and ultimately resulted in her death. The boyfriend should be charged with her murder and the attempted murder of the policemen who he shot.
I'm sorry, I must have missed your response to me earlier. What instructions did you say she disobeyed? Or Tamir Rice or Philando Castile?

Are you seriously saying that her boyfriend should be charged with her murder for shooting at armed intruders who broke in to his house? For defending his home? Kentucky is a stand your ground state, are you saying that doesn't apply in this case? Why not?

Blake's not rapist. He has abusive (especially towards his family) and got in trouble with the law a lot, but he's not a rapist.

So, did you see Blake do anything in that video where he deserved to be shot? Or, are you just victim-blaming again?
Third degree sexual assault.
“A person is guilty of third degree sexual assault if he or she is over the age of eighteen (18) years and engaged in sexual penetration with another person over the age of fourteen (14) years and under the age of consent, sixteen (16) years of age.”

Well, one of the officers was fired so there was presumably at least some grounds for dismissal stemming from this. I am also pretty sure that it was the officers themselves who sought the no knock warrant from a judge.

For those on the board who think “just obeying the police” is the solution, imagine with me for a moment if a white man had shot and killed a black police officer in “stand your ground” Florida because that white man was “protecting his home” during the dead of the night from what turned out to be a no knock warrant. Do you really think you would be calling for that white man’s arrest?

The elected officials continue to hamstring. Black people as far worse off financially than they were during the civil rights movement.

According to whom? Check out the US Census data.

Table 2, from rows 225-290. Black poverty rates go from 55% in 1959 to 21% today. That's over half. Whites are also almost halved, from 18% to 10%. Almost all this progress was made during the civil rights movement, but it has been largely unchanged since then.

Notice how throughout this time period, black poverty goes from tripling the white rate to just a little over doubling it? It's progress. Not enough, but it is progress.

I call absolute bs that guys like Bush Sr, Clinton, Jr, Obama/Biden, and now Trump were completely hamstrung. They were all aware of systemic issues dating back pre Rodney King and every single one did absolutely nothing.

I thought you were referring to local politicians. I agree that the Presidents have been ineffective

I agree on that point. The real problem is the legality of those actions and lack of accountability by the police.

The legality of middle of the night no knock is definitely up for debate, I don't think the legality of police returning fire is though.

Those who hate the United States, and there are plenty of tyrants who hate it here and abroad, would love for us to cry "defund" the police so then they can march in UN police.

Now you've taken a turn into crazy town. You do realize and supposed UN police would be facing the US Military? Militarily speaking, the rest of the world vs. the US seems like, at best for them, an even fight on US land.

I would think the police would be relieved if they didn't have to respond to calls about domestic arguments, and let someone better trained for them take that on.
