Thats a different conversation. I have never claimed it was not rude or mean. I wasn't discussing whether it was respectful or not. I agree people should treat each other with respect only up to a point though. Once someone loses my respect I don't need to treat them with respect. But this is all a tangent and not relevant to what we were discussing.
We don't need to hold everyone to the same standards. Someone in a position of power has different standards to live up to then someone who is not for example. I can give you lots of examples when standards are and should be different.
If you want equality then start by treating people equally.
If you don't want racism then start by not bringing race into the conversation. The minute you point out skin color, regardless of the color, you crossed a line.
Don't justify crossing it because of skin color or history. Just don't cross it.
