Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

According to Fischer, "some combination of Clint Capela, John Collins, Kevin Huerter and the No. 16 pick" could be used in a trade package for Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert.

Additionally, the Hawks seem committed to a young core consisting of Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu, and De'Andre Hunter. Fischer wrote, "the team is now expected to retain De'Andre Hunter and agree to terms on a long-term contract extension."

For me, I would pursue Collins, Huerter, Jalen Johnson, and #16. Maybe even ask for a 1st for next year (Atlanta has two - theirs and Charlotte's).

I've already done a breakdown of Collins vs Horford and it's almost identical. I know that Horford is the better defender, but Collins is clearly the better offensive player.

If Portland gets Collins for #7, that's a steal. It's highly unlikely that #7 will be a guy who averages 16+ppg and 8+rpg through the first 5 years of his career.

I soured on Collins during the playoffs, for the most part he was bad.

he was hurt... came back from injury to play so it makes sense. it is part of the problem with him though... constant injuries.
 
If you got Capela, JC, Huerter, and 16 (get 44 too... just cause) for Rudy and Bogey I think that is like the upper end of what might be out there. If you flipped JC to Portland with the 16 for 7 and cap filler I get it... but Don would be pissed.

It only makes sense that the Jazz and Hawks shuffle deck chairs with each other.
 
If we did land the #16 pick I think a Conley and 16 for KCP, Ish, and 10 could be doable. Then you land Sochan or Daniels (though I think he's gone). There is a chance Griffin or Sharpe are there too.

Not really, he's fairly healthy but this year around ASB, he just started picking up injuries and then started to struggle and finally had surgery. He was playing his best ball this year even as a #3 option. His defense was good and his offense was very efficient. He was doing a lot of good things in terms of winning basketball is concerned. He should have never played in that series but he's a warrior and it wasn't like we had better options. Gallo was BBQ chicken.

He's a very good player. I do think JC/Capela/16 is an overpay for Gobert/Bogey.

So he was healthy until he was injured? Got it.

He misses more games than average every year... its been constant throughout his career. He had a good year... I was referring more to the comment someone made that he was bad in the playoffs... but I think he rushed back from injury to play.

63 out of 72 and he played in all 18 playoff games.
41 out of 51,
74 out of 82,
61 out of 82, and he was healthy this year till ASB.

21 missed games was his most till this year where he had to have surgery. That's not an injury-prone player. Injury-prone players generally misses 30 games a season. Hunter is someone I would say is injury prone but not JC. He's far more reliable. In the modern NBA, 10 games missed a year normal.
 
I thought the whole idea behind the front office possibly trading Rudy was to improve our perimeter defense...I don't see how a combination of Collins, Huerter and Capella does that. I don't think I'd make a deal with Atlanta unless Hunter is involved.
