The "government" ranges from small town councils, to state legislatures, to hundreds upon hundreds of federal agencies, our supreme court, both houses of congress and the executive branch, military branches, agencies within those branches, the IRS, FDA, BLM, EPA, CIA, FBI, secret service, etc..

The government is lying to us about "everything" you say? Huh, if that were true it would be an amazingly astonishing accomplishment.

It’s interesting to me how Tucker and other top brass at Fox News feel the same way about Trump and Trumpism as most liberals. My view of Trump really isn’t that dissimilar from Tucker’s or Murdoch’s. But rather than call it out and tell their audience the truth, they treat their audience like complete morons. They feed them performative nonsense that they don’t believe in because there’s a market for ******** and they’re afraid other media markets like Newsmax might steal away some of their dumbest viewers.

Folks like Tucker put up a front, pretending to believe in ********, while really he’s just exploiting the dumbest and most bitter in our society for a quick and easy buck. Fox News patronizes their audience, pretending to be “one of them” while mocking them in private texts. It sure would be nice if some of these addicts ever woke up. I doubt many will. They’d rather go down on this ship rather than admit that they’ve been taken for a ride.

All of this contributes to my opinion that People who still worship trump and/or believe in Tucker are either 1) dumber than bricks or 2) suffering from a severe lack of character. Might sound harsh but at least I’m honest about it, unlike your favorite Fox News hosts. Sadly, these hosts will continue to exploit racial and cultural grievances, feed their viewers paranoia and hate, and treat their viewers with complete and utter contempt.

Just because you believe Carlson’s BS doesn’t mean it isn’t BS. And it’s Carlson turning Americans against Americans. We believe what we want to believe. I’m no exception, I’m sure. It’s not an effort to enlighten us at all. It’s an effort to rewrite history. It’s propaganda. You’re falling for it. That’s your right, but don’t expect the majority of Americans to not recognize Carlson’s BS when it’s so transparent, and his duplicity so out in the open at the moment. Did we ever figure out who that poster was that threatened to assassinate a sitting president Trump on this very board ? I remember him saying something along the lines that if Trump came to his city he would assassinate him? I'm guessing he's banned but I'm trying to remember who he was. He was highly regarded and supported and propped up around here by you guys.

I think some people believe that when the committee was investigating the insurrection and crimes committed at the capital that they should have shown video footage of people playing on their phones out on the lawn and video footage of people eating a sandwich on a bench next to their stop the steal signs and things like that. In addition to the video evidence of cops being attacked and property being destroyed.
Like they should have alternately shown a video of insurrectionist maga folks bashing cops over the head and breaking windows and stuff followed by some protesters just hanging out doing no wrongdoing. I dont know how that would change anything or help the investigations of crimes committed but I think that is what some people seem to think the committee should have done for some strange reason.

Sure there were a bunch of idiots in pajamas trespassing on the capitol, but why is that more important than the obvious corruption of our elected officials turning American citizens against each other? I'm sure there is plenty of evidence of wrongdoing by folks that were there, so why are they creating mascots and false narratives? Why are they using their power and influence to put Americans in jail because they have a convenient name or because they look extreme? The idiots that were there trespassing and destroying property didn't swear an oath to protect the constitution and then **** all over it with every opportunity.

The committee and/or the democrats aren't putting Americans in jail. courts/judges/lawyers/law enforcement does that. There are plenty of republicans in positions in courtrooms and law enforcement agencies. Courts go by laws and evidence not convenient names or extreme looks.

There is an example happening right now that touches on every point in your statement. The FBI was caught having destroyed evidence and lying under oath in a court case about their involvement in J6. It seems not all FBI agents are equally adept a destroying evidence and one agent only hid rows in the FBI's internal communication system, but when unhiding those rows it made clear that other rows in the FBI's Lync messaging system were deleted entirely, and those rows were related to internal requests to destroy evidence.

The judge hasn't ruled yet on throwing out the entire case against the defendant whose legal team found the evidence of the FBI's malfeasance but he did clear the courtroom immediately. The DOJ has now claimed the evidence the defense team found proving the FBI was destroying evidence is "classified" information the defense team cannot posses.
