Its getting really annoying about a lot of people complaining about certain players. You expect the guys to be perfect out there. A lot of players have weaknesses and everyone focuses on every little thing someone does wrong.
Big Al- Doesn't box out, can't pass and plays lazy D. Well, hate to tell ya but he put up great numbers and had much better energy when we were winning. I would rather have him over Booz any day of the week and best of all, he played through injuries and carried the team practically the whole year. And then people say he can't play C cause he is undersized. Here are some names people but look at their height: Al Horford(6'10), DeJuan Blair (6'7) and then a lot of other C's in the playoffs are 6'11. Then look at their stats. Horford is averaging 13 & 8, Blair averaging 5 & 5, Pau Gasol 8 & 5, Perkins 5 & 8, Camby 5 & 12, Spencer Hawes 6 & 2, Ibaka 8 & 9, Booz 11 & 11, Noah 8 & 10, Tyson Chandler, 3 & 8. I mean if we had any of these guys I bet you would be saying TRADE THEM BECAUSE THEY AREN'T PUTTING UP ALL STAR #'S.
Millsap- Plays lazy D and is undersized so he can't play PF. Once again, he put up great #'s and was very durable. He is tough as nails and is a solid PF. He might be best suited for the 6th man or could get quicker and slimmer and play SF. But he needs to stay with the team. A lot of teams would love to have a talent like Millsap as a 6th man. Its ridiculous how many of you want Millsap gone
Harris- He can't shoot, cant run an offense, can't play D. Well, he shot 36% from 3, probably better than anyone on the team except Hayward. He had to come into a difficult system and try and pick it up right away. I bet he will be very very solid for us next year with a full training camp under his belt. Don't expect him to be D-Will. He's not a superstar but he is a solid PG going forward.
The Miles, Price, Fes, Elson, Bell stuff is reasonable because its actually legit and they all aren't that good. But the 3 above are all very solid players but day in and out people complain about those 3 and want them traded.
The main concern is defense. Maybe if we coached differently we would be a better defensive team. We seem to be the only team in the NBA that doesn't try and front the post or defend the post what so ever. We let the opposing big men get position and then double team every team leaving an open 3. The Jazz also force middle instead of other teams that usually force baseline. I think with an adjusted defensive scheme a lot of the players defense would improve.
