Mavs- How the **** did he catch that let alone dunk it?!?!

Griz- he's spiderman so he shot his web at the ball

Wizards- wait wait wait is that why his insta handle is spidadmitchell?? it’s supposed to read like spida d mitchell??? i’ve been trying to figure this out for so long

Knicks- I don't know if I've ever seen that. Maybe Vince Carter did it once or twice but that **** is seriously insane.

Knicks- switched hands in midair too. That was some Vince Carter ****.

GSW- Mitchell: Sorta Athletic

Jazz- He said in post-game that catching it was the easy part but actually dunking it was harder because he didn't know where the rim was.

Wolves- Did dis dude just did dis?

Rockets- UNREAL. catching it with ONE hand in the air and then finishing. what an alley-oop

Heat- From the hang time to the one hand catch... Idc if he’s having that sophomore slump, this guy’s a future star.

Mavs- That's some Spiderman **** right there. (Extra points from JA for the Wire reference!)

Wizards- damn this was so sick live the replay does it justice aswell

Cavs- What the actual ****.

Clippers- that was a really slick pass from crowder. i know that was an incredible catch from mitchell, but i'm not sure where else jae could have put that. what a play all around, and after watching the replays i'm even more impressed.

Mavs- Above the basket alternative angle please and thank you.

Rockets- ou’re a Mavs fan so I was reluctant but it’s Christmas so here you go

Jazz- Don't forget that it's a Rockets fan sharing a Utah highlight. It's like the Christmas Truce in WWI.

Unk- Not quite sure how he was able to get that in.

Unk- Holy mother of god!

Celtics- Athleticism and air adjustment all wrapped into one. That was sweet.

Celtics- That was so nasty. I got excited when I saw Jae getting ready to throw the pass from halfcourt and Mitchell did not disappoint.

Knicks- This needs more love. That was absolutely wild

Nets- Jesus thats insane, his head was at the rim

Blazers- How is this not higher up on the front page yet? That **** was clean as ****.

Celtics- Dude is an unreal athlete, chose basketball so late too and just picked it up effortlessly. He would've excelled in any sport he chose

Knicks- Yo imagine Tom Brady throwing to this guy

Mavs- I was about to say, he did a solid Randy Moss impression. I doubt Mitchell wants all that CTE though.

Unk- someone needs to photoshop him shooting out webs

Cavs- Wtf what a catch

Pistons- Every time I see a Donovan Mitchell highlight it reminds me that we had a chance to draft a franchise changing player, but SVG drafted fat JJ Redick instead.

Heat- This man is 6’2” doing this ****. What the actual ****

Celtics- ROTY

So what's the big deal with "alley-oop" dunks anyway? Lots of them are made.....and lots of them are missed! It's two points, same as a layup! Alley oop attempts that are made more than 15 feet from the basket are actually risky plays that should be avoided for the most part! They end up turnovers or careening off the backboard....igniting the other teams fast break! I don't know how many of them I saw in that Thunder/Rockets game but it had to be close to half-a-dozen! The Jazz are trying to win basketball games...NOT make the ESPN highlight reel with a couple alley-oop dunks and lose the ball game! Close in alley-oops are find, but the farther you get from the basket the rate of difficulty is accentuated by a factor of 10! You want to see harmless alley-oops....then watch the NBA Dunk Contest, in which half of those are missed!

If you have someone who can finish them, then you’ve got some easy points. It’s value comes in 1) momentum and 2) when the defense has to adjust to prevent an alley-oop, you’ve just opened some things up.
