Yeah, it's stupid. Jazz is not a city. The Jazz are the team that has been in Utah for as long as they have been in Utah.There is a KSL article about this very thing, I'll try to find and link it.
But it is intentional and it gave reasons, even if you or I disagree with those reasons, atleast there was a reason given

If they want Utah to be on half hte jerseys, fine, but have one with "Jazz".
