Point is, the mods can track anonymous rep givers if they want. If they just don't want, that's just the way it is in here. Not making it all available to lookieloos is probably a good thing.

Still, if there is some Jared Loughner in here making anonymous death threats and the mods ignore it, it could make for a very unprofitable unpaid career.

It would become a more *** for tat thingy where one person neg reps the other who neg repped them. A better solution than this mess IMO, but I can see the "drawbacks" as it were.

The easy solution to that would be for all the cool kids to pos rep each other until they all have a huge rep hammer and then systematically pick out the not cool kids and neg rep them until they have no rep power at all. Then we (the cool kids) can pat each other on the back and spit on the not cool kids with vile rep comments and they won't be able to do anything about it.

I wasn't talking about rep, and I meant a tete a tete but I really like the sound of reconnoiter but following your point I think we should have the ability to block rep comments so we could avoid the abusive nature of it and this is a run on sentence but I don't care.

I'm fairly confident negative rep doesn't carry the full hammer, at least not for the stalking type. The first time, maybe, but throw a daily Dale in and you're only getting one or two point power. Maybe this will be confirmed, maybe not, but this is what I noticed from a few of my stalkers.

It's kind of funny they think they're hurting you, but only down you a point at a time. I tend to get negative and positive rep on the same posts, and generally the positive more than compensates for the negative (even when the pos comes from a newb).


Also, I'm for unsigned negative rep as much as I'm for anonymous voting. However, it's much easier to take a neg. seriously and use it constructively when a name is attached.
