Ricky shoot around comments to media

I agree with Ricky that team chemistry is underrated.

I agree that chemistry is very important, but that chemistry only gets you so far. At some point more talent is going to need to be added to this roster in order to try and take the next step.

I think the message through all this is that the Jazz FO are not going to sign him in free agency. The relationship is damaged, for sure.
I think Ricky will be back next season, but as back up, I think Dante will be a starter by playoffs, if healthy.
Obviously Memphis wasn't keen on him at all

It is nice to have chemistry but in the end it is the Front office's job to make the roster better. Ricky is entitled to his feelings but if he were playing better he would not have been part of the trade package. He should look at it as a compliment, someone was willing to trade their star for him. Ricky should know this is how the NBA works.

Let’s not overrate team chemistry. It’s a job. You’re getting paid millions of dollars - hit an open jump shot on a consistent basis man-bun.

Looks like Rubio is gone this off season - I just wish we could have gotten something back for him. Or he’s got to be ok with limited playing time and sacrificing for the team. Like Derrick Favors.

It’s time to hand over the keys to the backcourt to DM and Exum and see what happens.

Team chemistry is nice but it isn't vital if the team doesn't have the talent to contend and that's the case right now with the Jazz.

In saying that though I'm sympathetic towards Rubio and NBA players in general as having your name dragged through the mud over the last week or so in the media (and this year was particularly bad for it) around all of the trade rumours sucks and it's a ****** part of the business, especially if the player is in a situation that they're happy in like Rubio is.

A lot of people are underrating team chemistry ITT though. A team like the Sixers should have enough talent to really make some noise in the playoffs but if they underperform you better believe one of the overarching narratives will be that their team chemistry sucked instead of things like poor coaching, depth, etc. Warriors earlier in the year had real chemistry concerns when KD and Dray had their spat and the Warriors were kinda meh for a bit, despite having all the talent in the world.

Once you have the talent team chemistry is very important as managing egos/making sure everyone is getting their share while also getting guys to be willing to sacrifice is an important apsect of any championship team. It's just not that important if you don't have the talent to get to a championship in the first place.

I understand all the comments that can be written, but man we are serious and do self-criticism just like someone said in another post, it seems that Ricky is to blame until they have reinforced Eastern teams and that Gobert does not go to the game of the stars etc ... and if we put ourselves up to the future third world war it is also to ricky.
is nothing consistent throwing a basket and we all know. But from that to read atrocities that I have read there is a world.
And yet "as I put a day in another post" .. there is never a single comment of tangerines that throws crowder to basket, or that joe is deleted from the game more than once, or that Rudy he escapes too many balls from his hands and that he is a limited pivot in attack or even that Donovan's shot selection is often terrifying ..
NOTHING..
Only ricky, ricky and more ricky
Has given you to think that maybe this team is not contender because it is not as good as you think?.
and to finish, put a boy like Dante who has played 4 decent matches in 3 years as if he were the new messiah.
Long live the self-criticism

Dante should play as a starter when is healthy due to the confidence Utah has on him. Other thing is that Dante as a starter works,i don't think so, i don't think he is the player most of you think he is or will be and i'm not a hater. But at this time i don't know what Dante is... PG? Is a general on the floor or a chicken with the head off ? A 2? With Donovan this has no sense. A 3? Without shooting?... but sorry this is for a different thread. And of course i know that Ricky has lacks, sometimes more sometimes less and it' s clear you think you deserve a much better PG, i don't think it will be Dante

Pretty much this. It's the NBA.

If he had the great second half of the season and doesn't want to sign with us should the front office start bashing him for lack of loyalty and start talking about chemistry and how he is important to the team?

It's how the NBA works. We lost the core franchise player for nothing and front office published one pager add to thank the guy for the contribution. I know the fans are pissed, but that's the fans. Players and front office need to be pros and accept the rules of the game.
