Yea right. Because Chicago is going to run Utah's sets and a young unproven coach is going to be able to do what Sloan and his very experienced staff couldn't.

Boozer has bad hands and he did not look for those passes because he was already positioning for rebounds. They could have told him to look hundreds of times and I doubt Boozer would have changed his approach.

Ronnie Brewer. Last season. Jazz went 41-41, missed the playoffs and drafted Ronnie Brewer with the 14th pick in the draft, which is the lottery.

On a more substantive note: Thorpe is horrible.

First of all, I simply disagree with John Wall being #1. He was a grade-A chucker in summer league who bulled his way to 23.5 ppg while shooting 37.7%. And that's against summer league defenses.

I'm sorry, if you're the consensus #1 pick in the draft and you shoot well under 40% you didn't have an impressive summer league and you certainly can't be described as "nothing short of spectacular."

He also ranked Derrick Favors #11. Now I'm not an NBA talent scout or anything, I'm just a short, big-edo'd, balding lawyer who likes to watch basketball slightly-more-than-casually, but I feel pretty confident saying that if your turnovers + fouls are roughly equal to your points and you're the #3 pick, then you had a crappy summer league. Against Utah, Favors scored 6 points and had 7 TOs and five fouls while getting routinely outclassed by the likes of Brian Augustine and Rod Benson. There is no possible rationale for saying he was in the top 20. Dude was horrible in summer league.
 
ok, relax everybody. obviously it was conjecture to say they didn't point it out to him, and obviously chicago isn't going to run the same plays as the jazz. all imeant is that the jazz had a guy who was a really good passer from the elbow, a la hornacek, and they didn't make use of him for whatever reason. maybe it was the the coaching didn't emphasize that option becuase they haven't had the personnel for it for years (that was my assumption), or maybe it was that every big man on the jazz roster just forgot to look for that pass. i honestly don't know which, i'm just saying that korver is better -- in an overall sense -- than jazz fans gave him credit for.

Jazz got a #1 pick and they stayed in the tax AND Ronnie wasn't in his rookie year.

Doesn't fit the criteria.
