Roy Moore justifications

This has a big affect on our country's psyche. But he almost won, which is so ****ing disturbing.

I know. But two things on that:

The last senatorial election in Alabama the republican candidate got 97% of the vote. So the democrats went from 3% to a win. Without researching I'm going to say that's ****ing unprecedented.

When various news outlets cut to the Moore campaign headquarters the average age was about 103. Jones' headquarters it looked like the oldest person there was Charles Barkley. I don't think Alabama will go blue anytime soon; but the differences are obvious.

It also bears mentioning that Trump actively campaigned for two candidates that managed to lose. Strange in the primary and then Moore in the general election, lololololol. That may also be a first for a sitting president.

So much for winning

Trump then promised to change that: “We're going to win so much. You're going to get tired of winning. you’re going to say, ‘Please Mr. President, I have a headache. Please, don't win so much. This is getting terrible.’ And I'm going to say, ‘No, we have to make America great again.’ You're gonna say, ‘Please.’ I said, ‘Nope, nope. We're gonna keep winning.’

Replace winning with groping and kissing without consent and he’s right on.

Trump is a sexual predator.

if his acusers are really telling the truth, why arent they going through the justice system?

Roy Moore, a prosecutor by experience, says he's going to litigate the allegations. Well, a lot of folks don't like sore losers, but Moore says it's the principle of the thing. I don't think Moore has the money required to litigate the lie wholesalers we call "news" nowadays, and it would be best to forget it.

The media has lost substantial credibility and clout for pushing the narrative of the accusers while they are admitting falsifying what they at first called "evidence".

You just can't expect ordinary people not to believe wholesale propaganda.... well, except in JFC perhaps.

I think it's bad form, and intellectually dishonest, to call the charges proven until it is litigated.

It's damn certain neither the accusers nor the media wholesalers of the accusations I call "lies" to go forward with litigation. They have achieved all they wanted to achieve, they're done. It never was the truth that mattered to them.

FWIW, we've had discussions in JFC as to what constitutes lies, with the admin/owners raising the standard that if you believe something and say it, it's not a "lie". My definition is something else. It is something that is untrue, likely known to be untrue, which is useful for some purpose to those asserting it. If there is clearly biased motive in the expression, I tend to call that a "lie", as I think I do in this case.

However, I do think Moore did stuff, just what I have no way of knowing.... forty years ago I think he was a pretty wayward man, before he met Mrs. Moore and took up a Christian profession. I listen to a lot of Pacific Garden Mission tales of coming to Christ, and I tend to think a lot of people are pretty wayward before they come to Chirst. Well, OK..... SOMETIMES.... people do change as they move forward with religious commitment, certainly some may not, or may even get worse.... but they usually drop outta sight as they go back to their old way......

I'm just calling for a reasonable public discussion of things apparently lost in the decades. I think people should be judged by their more recent conduct. I don't think people who will make this kind of stink about all the long ago stuff are honestly concerned about women's lives, the way men treat them, or whatever abuse they have suffered.

It ought to be a rule that stuff that went down long enough ago to be covered by State Law Statues of Limitations, and that can no longer be litigated, should NOT be newsworthy.

And besides, I think, for all we know, Jones is a worse perv. Maybe we'll find out later....... If stuff comes out, I think y'all should howl for him to resign his seat.

But you won't because, possibly, you don't really care about women at all.

I'm really sick of seeing our country jacked by our committed perv Big News honchos/////.

Moore, with his religion out front, has always run narrow races in Alabama. He just raises the hackles of too many ordinary people. Without the national press, he might have lost by ten points not 1.6.

The RINO party fought against him, undermined him, and will find a more moderate candidate next time. So Jones is there until the next election, no longer.

A one year term, that's it. Period.

That might have been what he meant (I dont know) but that is not what he wrote.

What I quoted from him is a despicable attitude. Adults dont learn by testing their boundaries and particularly not with sexual abuse. We should not just do whatever gets tolerated and when we go to far back off.

No, there is not skin thickening that needs to happen. What needs to happen is certain people need to stop sexual abusing others. They need to be called out for it as much as possible. Yes, maybe some of these are made up but there is little to no reason for that. Yes, people accused of sexual assault need a due process, that is what the courts are for. I dont think they should go to jail until their guilt is proven. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get due process for women when sexually assaulted even by the courts. It is an awful process for them to go through and be drug through the dirt by defense attorneys.

It is a really simple thing. People who are sexual abusing and doing terrible things need to stop and they need to be held accountable and attention brought to it. For the majority of us who are not sexually abusing people we should not look the other way and should do something when we see it happening. That includes believing people when they tell you something happened.

What is happening now is great and not an out of control train.

You might get run over if you are guilty. For those of us not guilty of something there is nothing to be concerned about.

My intended characterization pertains to the learning process, most of which may be taught by parents or schools, but which is still a learning process. A lot of what we come to be develops in teen years, and maybe in the workplace. I think politics generally trashes the best instincts, maybe showbiz and business culture as well. I agree with you that we should work on improving things.

Good if you had parents or training enough while young to get it right early on. A lot of men are not so fortunate. It might be untrue to characterize it as a universal coming-of-age process. Pretty sure if you are taught early the right manners you can navigate life better than those who are not so taught.

I keep hearing the right bitch about how “the media” ruins people unfairly but I’d love for one of you deplorables to list 5 people who the media has unfairly and dishonestly railroaded off the top of your head. I’ll wait.

Furthermore, you forget that your media is the greatest offender of libel laws. Think about it:

For years your side claimed that the Clintons killed off people.

For years your side claimed that obama wasn’t an American citizen.

For months we’ve been drilled in the head by this uranium one nonsense.

You claim that what... 9 women have been paid off to ruin Moore? Why? Many of them admitted to being republican. And they’ve all been paid off by whom? No one has leaked? What about all of the reports from attorneys who worked with Moore who admitted that they thought it was all strange that he dated high School girls? What about the malls that banned him? All paid for huh? By whom? George Soros and the deep state? The same guys who planned Benghazi, doctored Obama’s birth certificate, and faked the moon landing? JFC...

Now you idiots are attacking Mueller.

Seth Rich/end of discussion

The right whines incessantly about the depravity of “the media.” I’m guessing they’re talking about their media since they’re the ones spewing lies and committing libel daily for political purposes.

At the end of the 2012 election Reince Piebrus ran an autopsy that suggested that the gop needed to do more to endear itself to women, younger people, and minorities.

Since 2012 the gop has done the exact opposite.

In every age bracket 64 years and younger, the gop lost in Alabama. Let me say that again, in one of the reddest states, every age bracket 64 years and younger went blue.

This is what happens when you deny basic scientific thought, statistics, and demographic information and rely solely on whatever the echo chamber on Fox News and am radio says.

The GOP is literally dying of old age. It’s end might come faster than we think because of Trump as he’s offending every decent conservative out there (people like Jeff Flake, who donated $100 dollars to Doug Jones).

Time for the gop to reboot. But they won’t. The echo chamber they’ve created with hannity, Limbaugh, bannon, and the Kochs won’t allow them to.
