Supermax contracts are ridiculous. One player will eat 35% of your cap up. Unless your name is Giannis, I wouldn't give you that type of scratch.

If that means you had to let Rudy walk, so be it, but those contracts just cripple your franchise.

This can't happen. If the Jazz can't be what he wants them to be with him there so he ends up leaving, he needs to be traded while his value is this high. Him walking for nothing would be a nightmare. I don't think he's worth the super max. I don't think he's the highest paid player on a championship winning team, but he is definitely a talent and valuable and the Jazz could really get something for him

I think Gobert wants a choice to be made and I don't know if Lindsey has the guts to make that choice.

That is a very, very good point. Gobert has come out recently and talked about how the Jazz have been close but have to do more. He's talked about how he has to do more. I wonder if there is any disappointment by Gobert about front office moves. And if there is, how disappointed is he? How close is he to getting visibly or vocally frustrated?

Honestly, Gobert is a great player but not somebody I think you have to have to win a title. I really think Favors PLUS assets from a Gobert trade is much better for our franchise than Gobert and just letting Favors walk.

Need to use our cap space now, and hope we have a team good enough to finally go into the tax for. Rudy's supermax wouldn't really hinder us, we'll be operating over the cap at that point anyway.
