Rudy being positive for corona isn’t really the problem. Lots of people out there with it, Rudy just happened to have the backing of the league office of a top 3 national sport, so he got tested with mild symptoms.

We are currently testing over 100 people a day at work, there are 3 other similar clinics in Melbourne. With more to open around the country.

The broader economic consequences could be huge. Im likely going to have to close my bar for a period of time, still have to find 2k a week to pay the rent while we're not trading. Not a massive problem for us but other businesses in the sector who can't afford to shut for 1 or 2 months will likely go to the wall.

It sounds to me there are actually two tests. One local test that is fast, another test that is sent to CDC for confirmation and/or further study.

Rudy was tested in the lockerroom or hotel. Then a test sent to CDC?
 
The auto pop up ads on Jazzfanz can be so funny somtimes. And so not funny tonight....it just suggested Life Insurance links for me.
 
If Gobert ends up recovering quickly, supposedly he felt healthy enough to play already, maybe he can serve as proof that the majority of people don't need to worry and help people calm people the **** down.

On the other hand, if it's anything but a quick recovery, people would probably freak out even more
 
University of Oklahoma Health Science Center or State Health Department in OKC will probably be dispatched to do the testing. Oklahoma's Governor Stitt had just approved a plan with the State Health Department/OU Health Science Center in OKC on testing since 2 persons in Tulsa (100 mi., ne of OKC) tested positive within a week of each other--overseas travel.

Last heard that all Jazz & Thunder players and personnel were quarantined inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena; awaiting further instruction from the State Health Department/OU Health Science Center.
