Oh! I think I figured out the problem: it’s a joke. He’s making a joke not based in fact. There’s only one earth?
Again enjoy your cult.Have you ever heard of this little thing called the MULTIVERSE!! He is obviously talking about bizarro-Earth, whereas we live on the real earth. Get with the program! Idiot!
Another earth is not just another planet. Completely two different things. Another earth is still earth, not just another planet. You don’t just refer to another earth by saying another planet unless you’re an idiot.Another earth would be another planet.
Are you just leaning into your idiot persona or do you really not get this?
That's not how NBA value works ..Well of course he will run it into the ground and then sell. Thats just good business. It is what every successful business owner does. Acquire a business, decrease its value as much as possible, then sell.
But you do agree that running a team into the ground is the best way to get as much value from the team as possible when you are planning to sell right? That's not how NBA value works ..
I don't think Ryan Smith thinks he is doing this, but it's what's going to happen. But you do agree that running a team into the ground is the best way to get as much value from the team as possible when you are planning to sell right?
Yes**** the Jazz. Please predict if my wife is going to find out about my mistress.
I'll be curious if the trades are setup around money motivation - look for the keyword "flexibility" when the local media dissect the trade. Maybe they are oriented around a younger crew to work with Donovan and Rudy... or if they decide to split up Donovan and Rudy.
It is his new billion dollar toy. He is playing with it like a kid putting stickers on his GI Joe trucks. Gotta make it look cool! Pew pew!! It can shoot!! Look out Cobra!! Maybe he is Sid from Toy Story. Break his toys apart and create horrific new versions of them with their random parts. Doesn't matter if it works as intended, it will be SO...FREAKING...COOL!!!I don't think he has any intention of selling but I can see him running it into the ground. The Millers let basketball people run the show and he is putting himself in the middle of all decisions and surrounding himself with friends. That is not a recipe for success. At least we will be known for the ugliest uniforms.
Unless of course you are a VC company, then you strip it of all cash and assets, run it into the ground, and then sell it to a declining company that wants to make it look like they are still growing... on the cheap while including a golden parachute for yourself. It's a tried and true VC method of getting your money back and then some. Of course it leads to "global warming", but you don't care if you are a VC.Well of course he will run it into the ground and then sell. Thats just good business. VC means vulture capital, right? Haha! I had a job that was a casualty of shuttering and liquidation so I might be a little biased…Unless of course you are a VC company, then you strip it of all cash and assets, run it into the ground, and then sell it to a declining company that wants to make it look like they are still growing... on the cheap while including a golden parachute for yourself. Yep. I'm sure there are some VC's that actually try to run a company and help out while making money too, but I've seen too many of the vulture culture as well. lolVC means vulture capital, right? Haha! I had a job that was a casualty of shuttering and liquidation so I might be a little biased…
While I still believe this about Ryan Smith, I feel more shaky about it than I did 4 or 5 months ago. I do think that Ryan cares deeply about how this franchise and state are perceived and I do think that his intentions are pure. At the same time, I see moves like bringing in a guy like Danny Ainge, who’s career appeared to be at the end of the road and who doesn’t seem to be well liked across the league, and it puzzles me. When Danny was exiting Boston, he made some extremely tone deaf comments in regards to the role race plays in Boston sports and it upset a lot of players. Hiring him to run your basketball operations seems to run counterproductive to the very change you’re trying to implement here in Utah. I understand that Ryan has some very deep roots with BYU, but I worry that he’s trying to serve two masters.Over our entire franchise history, we have been an odd ball in the league. Players have refused playing for us. People have bashed us. Some have mocked us. We have contended for two seasons, but our stars of that era weren't the type guys to bring us tons of fanfare and popularity.
I have faith that Ryan, Dwayne Wade and company will make us a more desirable location. They can't make us "cool", but they can make us less "undesirable". If we could just be made to be considered "just another place", Ryan has made great strides for the franchise.
So no Cy, I don't believe Ryan is going to grind us down then sell us. I think he's going to give us more personality, more likability, and improve our brand for everybody. That's a good thing.
Yup, thread might be hyperbolic, but the Jazz are in a very dangerous position for the long-term health of their franchise. While I still believe this about Ryan Smith, I feel more shaky about it than I did 4 or 5 months ago. I was told that Ainge was brought in because of Mitchell. Utah knows they have Mitchell for this year and maybe next and that's it. Utah feels that Mitchell may want out this summer and they wanted someone experienced in moving a player like Mitchell. While I still believe this about Ryan Smith, I feel more shaky about it than I did 4 or 5 months ago. There is so much truth to this. For example, Utah is at the bottom of the league in TV revenue. LA, Philly, NY, Chicago, etc all bring in over 100 million a year in tv money. Most other teams are well over 50 million. Utah is about 20 million. They are behind the money ball by a large margin.Yup, thread might be hyperbolic, but the Jazz are in a very dangerous position for the long-term health of their franchise.
