if the Rockettes offered Green and all the nets picks back for Bridges, how about Lauri for the same deal? Adding the Brooklyn picks to our current load feels fitting.
The trade to make is with the nets for the suns picks so that we have a direct negative impact on the rockets.

What? When the FO mailed it in we were worried if we can catch the Rockets in a race towards the bottom. Now all of a sudden they are significantly better?

Are you worried about the 42/33/80 Jalen Green or the 53/15/60 Amen Thompson turning into superstars? Or maybe its Cam Whitmore, who is close to worst in their internal BPM rankings and is probably the worst black hole we have seen a rookie been in a long time. Who are the guys Rockets have that are causing you to hyperventilate?

Sengun is great btw, but not like he is #1 in a contender level guy. Jalen Green has been hot as of late, but unless he seriously leveled up midseason its a hot stretch and despite improving him numbers lately his total body of work for the year is still very meh.
It's such a silly person statement. So much is going to happen over the next 3 years. The development path for young players is not linear.

The rockets were riddled by injuries all year while we had been healthy. Amen Thompson is a beast so don't even try to go there and so is Whitmore. Then of course you don't even mention 20yr old Jabari Smith or Tari Eason who was great as a rookie but has been injured all year. Jalen Green is actually only my 5th favorite young player on that team but what he is doing right now is different than when he has gotten hot in the past. We are also talking about a 22yr old so continued improvement is likely.
Amen Thompson is a beast? The dude cannot shoot from any range. ANY. Including static shots at fixed spots like the FT line. Which is exactly the #1 thing scouts worried about with him.

Also your other favourite Cam Whitmore has 18 assists all year to 366 FGA. Like how do you even stumble to such a ratio as a rookie wing? Even Andre Drummond has better AST Ratio than Cam. Only NBA player to record any assists all year that has a worse ratio is Ish Wainright.

No need to downplay the Rockets young dudes, they are very talented.

I just dont get being doomer about the Jazz.

Keyonte is at least a top 5 rookie and many think he is the #3 rookie in the class. Hendricks defensively looks legit and offensively you can see some promise. Sensabaugh could be good in 1-2 years.

The plan so far is perfect. Just avoid the John Collins trade type of mistake and the Jazz will build a contender in time.
Wait the plan is perfect yet we made a mistake on John. If we have a perfect plan then the execution must be pretty bad.

They’ve made multiple mistakes… that’s okay. They’ve really only done the easiest part of the plan. The next moves are far more difficult.

Until Sengun went out Green looked like the emptiest of calories. Amen is nice but gonna have to shoot it so much better than he’s showed to hit any kind of star level. While they have picks they also owe picks. They also used their cap to take the low hanging fruit we haven’t. FVV means as much to winning as just about anyone on that roster and that’s not like a great long term solution.

To me a plan is a loose outline of what you want to do, not a direct step by step written out guide for the next 3 years.

They wanted to buy cheap on a talent. It hasnt worked out yet, but it can still be salvaged.

And the hardest part of the plan was the Gobert/Mitchell trade and they nailed that. That wasnt some Sam Presti lucks into superstars bending owners in a way that helps him kind of luck BS. It was legit master craftsman trade work.

I think we're pretty close to being a good team. With another hopeful top 10 pick this year I think it's time to use some assets and build off the nucleus that we have. We're a year or two away but we have some good pieces in place.

We need to focus on ourselves. It’s not about doing what this team or that team did. Following another “plan” is almost certainly going to lead to different results.

Right now we have a plan that we poorly executed, or a plan that we pivoted and changed directions on. Hopefully by this time next year we are can confidently say that are moves and actions align with each other.

People want such immediate results lmao. I can only imagine if we went full rebuild and missed on getting the top dudes or picked on and he absolutely busted what the reactions would be.

Immediate results? Many want results that will take longer. You need to understand that questioning the FO moves is not a matter of impatience. That’s such a lazy way to address the criticisms the FO is facing. Yeah, if the plan (any plan) does not work people will have poor reactions. Problem is that the Jazz don’t seem to have much of a plan at all.

There is one thing universally loved by people specifically sports fans… that is complaining. I’m trying to be measured without dick riding the FO. I understand most of what they have done the last two years. There are things I was skeptical of at the time that turned out rough but for the most part they haven’t made a bad bad move.
