What's new

Six games in and...

Jazz have shown that they can beat really bad teams - who also happen to be sans their best player on the back end of a back2back. I know a wins a win, but I still think the Jazz are top 5 worst in the league. And this is coming from a big optimist.

That might be about right. Maybe 6th or 7th worst.

my take

As of today, our Sagarin ranking is 18th on pure points and 16th on combined record/points. It's better than I thought it would be.

There was a play when Burks was pressing his man hard past the 3 point line, then a pick came and Burks got buried hard. He was completely out of the play and his man had a wide open lane to the basket. The player got all the way to the rim where he was met by Favors who sent his shot in the opposite direction with ease, right into one of our player's hands. If this happend during the Okur/Boozer era, it would be 2 (possibly 3 due to an AND 1) points. That is the importance of having good shot blockers.

Maybe Sloan left just in time. There is no way Kanter and Burks would have gotten this much burn under his watch.

Funny how all of the all-time great coaches are accused of not playing rookies enough.

Pops
Phil
Riley
...

Maybe they know what they are doing and you, the fan, don't.

No take on CJ?

Ok...

Guess I'll do it.

CJ's still the same player he was last year... The year before that... And the year before that...

Streaky, not mentally tough, unable to do much other than chuck, and still retarded. If anything, his recent end of quarter/half/game fouls have proven that he's actually become dumber.

I want to see less of CJ and Raja and more Howard, Hayward, and Burks.

Even Jeremy Evans. Miles just looks like overall crap.

So, we are doing pretty good then considering we have beat 3 teams you have ranked above us?

The play you are referencing was the brightest moment of the night.

Burks will come along....

You simply don't know this to be true. There's no way to know it's true. For all you know, Gordon would have had an off night, or other people who contributed to this game would have contributed much less. Jefferson might have gone off. Maybe Hayward buries multiple 3's. If Gordon had been there, it would have been an entirely different game

NO is not invincible with Gordon, and we live in a dynamic world, not a static one.

Sorry dont live in fantasy world. I think 80% chance we lose if Gordon had played so yes there was a chance we would have won with him. Did you notice how bad Bellinelli was.
