What's new

So gay!!!

I am married and if I was married to one of my guy freinds instead of my wife then my life would be entirely different.

-I would not have my daughter nor would having offspring be an option.
-How I have sex would be totally opposite.
-Living with a woman is complete opposite of living with a male roomate
-I would not argue about me watching too much sports
-etc etc etc

Me being married to a man would litereally make my life do a full 180. I dont know how that is a shock or a surprise for people.

Your post really has nothing to do with what I was saying, but it's never crossed your mind that not everyone wants to live their life the way you do?

Sex for humans is completely different for humans than other animals simply because of the concept of pleasure. The act of sex for pleasure alone separates it from the "biological" argument Beantown is making.

Oh you haven't heard? All laws are supposed to be dictated by a moral code set forth by an invisible man in the sky. That's how the fore fathers and Jesus Christ wanted it.

Anybuddy else gittin ads on they page with a picture of two guys standin nose-to-nose with crap-eatin grins on their faces and looks of lust in their eyes askin: "Is gay marriage wrong?"

By the way, this thread needs more Hard Gay.

I would hope that Jesus wouldn't condemn the concept of gay marriage. Bear in mind that the Biblical definition of marriage being between a man and a woman appears in the Old Testament, yet I've heard (not necessarily on these boards, but out and about) that Christ would not tolerate the notion of homosexual marriage. Who are we to assume what He would think? Can you honestly claim you know the thought processes of the Almighty? Last time I checked, that was blasphemy...or at least borderline.
Actually, I agree with Beantown here. Can you even IMAGINE a world where people who can't have kids can get MARRIED?! :O How much more misery this would cause in the world than happiness? People like me and Beantown will be crying ourselves to sleep. Is that what you want? Because that's what's going to happen here.

Look, they are what they are, little experiments that I made on purpose to go through life with lesser rights and end up in outer darkness for acting out the basic, uncontrollable biological urges I gave them.

While I am not opposed to gay marrige, I'm pretty pissed that once again the federal government can simpy step in, wave it's magic wand, and completely un-do the work of the people.

The people of California spoke, and what they had to say was : No gay marrige. How can you convince somebody to get out there and vote on any subject when in reality their vote doesn't matter? If the people had voted gay marrige in, their voices should be respected and their choice upheld. The same principals should be in effect with the choice of banning gay marrige.

This country feels like less and less of a democracy with each passing day......

I'm not the brightest when it comes to politics, but I'm pretty sure American democracy isn't mob rule. We have the constitution to protect the rights of minorities. And Prop 8 was unconstitutional. The majority shouldn't be able to oppress the minority just because they have more people (just like racial segregation).

While I am not opposed to banning poll taxes, I'm pretty pissed that once again the federal government can simpy step in, wave it's magic wand, and completely un-do the work of the people.

The people of Mississippi spoke, and what they had to say was : You have to pay a tax to vote in elections in Mississippi. How can you convince somebody to get out there and vote on any subject when in reality their vote doesn't matter? If the people had voted poll taxes out, their voices should be respected and their choice upheld. The same principals should be in effect with the choice of establishing poll taxes.
