That's not a very good deal for Utah unless it's for Crowder and Boston's 2018 pick from Brooklyn. I don't believe it's protected at all. Could easily be top 5.

They don't have to, but it could be in there interest to trade pieces to Utah just to assure those pieces dont have to be traded to other Eastern conference teams (since most trades partners are in the East, where teams have more cap-room to facilitate trades).

For me, I'm completely fine with whatever happens. If he stays.. great, if he goes.. great as well. Players come and go, only a small percentage of players are truly dedicated to their teams. John, Kobe, Reggie, Tim, Larry, Magic and so on. We still should be fine, believe in Rudy and our Jazz.

Agree completely. Of course I'd prefer he stays, but if he leaves, the Jazz will still be good, still not good enough to beat GS, and will be fun as hell to watch with Rubio, Spida and Rudy.

Makes the most sense. If he's just straight-up signing with Boston after all of this he is a real ****er.

My guess is he had his mind mostly made up, this leaked before he could write his sappy piece, and now he feels like he has to get the Jazz something so he doesn't feel like just a total piece of dog ****.

I really, really hope I'm wrong. If he stays, this is all water under the bridge for me.
