Stupid Pet Peeves

I think saying that a DUI has ruined your life is extreme.

Expensive? Yeah. Hard to deal with? Yeah. Life ruined? Hardly.

You can lose your job, your career, something you went to college for and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on, and perhaps worked your *** off for on the job for a decade or two. As a result, your wife may leave you and take the kids. These are things that happen. Is it unlikely? Maybe, I guess. But it's very possible.

Better than killing somebody because your (not you obviously) dumbass decided to drive drunk.

Most people that have good jobs, that they’re good at, won’t lose a job because of a DUI. I know a great amount of people that have gotten a DUI, none of them had their lives ruined by it.

On topic: People who block the entire isle at the grocery store and act completely oblivious to the line of people trying to get around them.

Off topic: I personally think an ignition interlock device should be required for anyone who gets a DUI, and that should take the place of loss of driving privileges. Because when they suspend your license it doesn't really stop you from driving and doesn't stop you from driving drunk.

The penalty for driving while talking on a cell or texting is nowhere near severe enough. It needs to be much harsher than fir drunk driving imo, simply because far far far more people do that than drive under the influence.

The junior justice society

Everybody is a busy body anymore and they expect everyone else to be

Leave the sentencing to Justices of the court.

Sorry but Urban Meyer is a football coach. He is not a judge. He is not a cop. He is not a family counselor. Hell he ain't even that dudes wife.

Holding him or the school responsible isn't just ridiculous it is asking for a whole host of issues that neither is prepared or qualified to deal with.

I agree. If he didn't actively attempt to cover up and/or enable abuse I don't see what the hell the issue is. If he was in a position to stop ongoing abuse I could see a point here, but he found out about an incident in which the police were already involved, so there was nothing for him to do. At least that's my understanding of it so far.

Plus don't we want these people to rehabilitate and rejoin society? How are they supposed to do that if we won't/shouldn't hire them?

If not what's the point of serving a sentence? Let's just shoot them and be done with it.

People bringing their dogs into businesses. Home Depot, Wegmans, Staples. You ****ing name it.

If someone has a special needs child and that child and you have a legit therapy dog, okay, cool. But I see way too many ****ing adults bringing their dogs into these businesses. I love dogs as much as the next person but ****. Leave that **** at home. You have no condition, and even if you do, you have even bigger problems if you need a dog to help you get by your day in public.

I was a WalMart today and heard a dog barking. I was like "yep, another jackass who brings their dog into places where dogs don't belong."
